Mid-July, booked tickets to see Oppenheimer at the Imax. Two months in advance to get reasonable seats for the 70mm film showing.

An hour in peak hour traffic getting there, finally managed to navigate our way in from the carpark, hung around for a bit and while wifey was in the loo I asked what time they'd let us in to the cinema.

"About ten to eight"

"Isn't the session at 7?"

"No, 8."

<checks ticket>

Oh shit. Ticket was for last night. Oh.

"Umm there's only two seats available tonight and they aren't together, go and see them upstairs, they might be able to do something."

Explain situation to bloke upstairs, he goes off and comes back, hand-writes a ticket putting us in the spare disabled seats with a better view than our original ones.

Many many thanks for their help and understanding in what would (had I checked the date before we left) have been a post in the Things That Shit Me thread for blowing $90.

Better result than my brother mistaking his flight back from London as 7pm when it was 17:00.

He did nooooot build in the recommended 3 hour buffer to his check in time.

Our first time in Singapore my wife told me check out was Monday morning. Packed the bags Sunday night, lugged em down, got to reception, bloke looked at us pretty oddly “we have you checking out tomorrow? Have you changed your plans”. Nope, wife got the checkout and flight days wrong. Thankfully in the reverse order so not really a big deal she has never been put in charge of itineraries again though.

We went to see Jesus Christ Superstar back in the day. There were people sitting in our seats. Hurried checking of tickets - they had come on the wrong night ☺️

I remember booking a hostel for me and a mate (who was still in Australia- I was in England) the first week of December in London.

Too bad I made the booking for the first week of November.

I literally looked at the ****ing dates about a million times, did not pick up the error until we rocked up at the place.

Did similar once, with airline tickets. I realised the error fairly soon after booking but too late. Cost $40 each to change them

First time in Europe for 23years, out of the subway at Marienplatz Station and hit in the face with the town hall building. Good feeling.

I'm a couple of days ahead of you. In Hamburg leaving for Copenhagen tonight. Are you going to Neuschwanstein Castle?

Just the one night in Munich, at the airport atm heading off to Dubrovnik for a couple of weeks in Croatia.

Croatia is awesome. Make sure you go to Krka National Park.
