Howard is worth a late first to a team desperate for a KPD at the absolute most.
I reckon a mid first.

We payed a late first. He has improved since then irrespective of how frustrated we are with him as a fan base

No offence but I think this is why you don't attach too much credibility to team boards when it comes to trade equations. Our club should always get every player we want for pretty well nothing and any of our club's players that could be leaving are suddenly elite A graders that demand first round compo.

Both Henry and Dow were top 10 picks. They can play. They are both young. They may not have set the world on fire yet, they may never, but they can play.
You could say the same for Coffield. If North want him they need to give up something of value.

So if we trade Dougal, Cordy becomes first choice and then who? Highmore?

Cordy was given a bath in the final.

Seems like a dangerous game.
If we trade Dougal, we'll 100% find a replacement. Maybe someone like Lachlan Keeffe or James Stewart. They will fight Cordy for no1, then Van Es will be the long-term successor.

need a few of these to drop to keep the interest up,though ryder cup and gf should fill a void before oct 2

love going to thailand for many reasons, but high among them are the number of indian restaurants, looking at march again for first time since before covid

The interest lies in who/what we bring in this off season.
I’m not fussed who we retain, we’ve got a small list of untouchables then a long list of players who are injury prone, or will just never make the leap.
Wouldnt lose any sleep if Gresham, Dougal, Jones, McKenzie, Clark left as they are all known commodities and have proven they’re not going to move the needle so to speak. Some have high end capabilities but are far enough into their careers to producing week in, week out consistently and they haven’t been able to do that.
D-Mac is a huge part of our side, I'd be devastated if he left. There's a reason why there are so many clubs interested in him despite him being so injury-prone. We'd have probably the competition's best wing partnership with both Wood and D-Mac at full fitness. One more year for him IMO to get over his injury troubles and prove himself to the new coaching staff.

Lol
He was not
I’m not even a fan but we can all see we were exposed by quick mids and our defence couldn’t get structured properly
Behind the pull
Its been the key to our undoing all year, play fast and we are stuffed, no time to set

Apparently hawks interested in Howard. Wonder what it would take to get there first rounder
All this talk about shipping off Howard is fine...but who is going to replace him?
Don't say Cordy.

Why don’t the cats want their pick 7? Draft can’t surely be that bad and a team that needs regenerating of the lost, peculiar

North have pick #14 which after all the academy bids will blow out to #17 - sounds about right for a contracted full back.

The next question is how we are going to balance the list numbers wise? We have already filled the Cat B position with the appointment of Liam O'Connell.

Lets say hypothetically we trade in Henry, Dow and Sheil and want to take 3-4 picks at the draft/s. Thats 3-4 more positions than we have on the list. We are consequently going to have to trade out or delist the equivalent number of players. Gresham = Essendon, Howard = Hawthorn/North Melbourne & Billings = Hawthorn/North Melbourne, or delist Allison or Highmore.

Answered your own question didn’t you?

Clearly we are wanting to trade and deal.

I think its more they want to split the pick to get another youngster bc their next one is 81.

I love D-Mac but i think hes been supplanted. If Nas moves to a wing youve got Hill, Wood, NAS and Henry (if we get him).

Thats before you consider if Billings is in that rotation too.

when fit and firing hes challening the two incumbents but im not sure he take those spots.

15 calf tears in 10 months, out of contract. I’d be saying goodbye.
