Exactly, it seems likely the baton will be passed to Jacinta Allen who hails from the socialist left faction of the Labor party. It terms of policy and governance it will remain the same.

The only question I have is with the SRL, will they either pull the pin or delay works? Rising construction costs with both material and labour and the budget deficit being fairly large must be key considerations. I'm not even sure a CBA was done on it and I doubt its going to come in at $125 bill. It will far exceed that.

they did something similar on hamstead rd/muller rd/regency rd years ago. had to buy up quite a bit of land from memory - but that too was years overdue

Finally. I lived on East Avenue from 1998 to 2010 and it was talked about that whole time. Now off Holbrooks Road and that intersection and the school traffic is a nightmare.

It’s almost fixed now though, got caught out there at lunchtime a few months back took me 40 minutes to go from the kfc on greenhill rd to the Arkaba hotel, glad I was being paid but heck it was annoying

Yeah will be interesting to see the plan as there is an OTR on one corner and a few businesses around that section.
