McRae wasn't pleased with it. At minimum it's a bad look. To then not perform rightly causes questions to be asked. For an hour, dont think its that big of a deal. Better than stressing at home.
He's so young, these experiences will help him grow.

Yes. From mistakes. This was a mistake and he needs to keep learning and avoiding these if he doesn't want to miss out.He also said he is growing and learning, as he is just a kid. You learn things as you grow up.

He didn't seem to mad, just thought he shouldn't have gone. But you can't live these kids lives, you have to guide them to make better choices. And he's still growing and learning as they go on, as fly said. The kid will be right.Coach didn't seem to agree. Hope Ginni pulls his finger out.
If this was such a big deal he should have been droppedGoing to Mooney Valley last night wouldn’t be exactly maturing![]()
Oh well doesn’t matter. Just another quirk of Jack.If this was such a big deal he should have been dropped
So the role Tay play most of the year?I don’t really care about him going to the valley last night for an hour.
I care about his on-field performances throughout the finals series, and he’s borderline for our best 23 and needs to improve to become an auto-selection in 2024. I’m hoping there will be significant pressure applied by Reef, Harrison, even Allan and shuffle the magnets, maybe Tay forward to provide the pressure that Ginni mostly doesn’t… but the team that stands still gets bypassed quickly.
So the role Tay play most of the year?
I’ve given them absolutely none.Yes, for however long he and Mitchell can maintain that job share. I’m giving very little credence to the trade rumours.
Happy he is a premiership player and his critics silenced![]()

While Taylor Adams and McStay are cursing their injuries, Ginnivan is at the horse races.Nothing to do with luck at all. What do you know about success compared to him?
Trade him while he has Premiership currency. He simply doesn’t comprehend.Jack went to the races it turns out. He should polish jfns boots. He was too cute with that snap, when your 40 out mate. I'd consider luring a key forward to the club and throwing him in is a sweetener. Am I being harsh.
Well said.Didn't have the game I had hoped for him and unfortunately couldn't capitalise on the 3 moments he was elevated into the 22 for.
The first was the strange decision to kick the ball around his body for goal when a drop punt from that distance was required.
His second chance at goal wasn't an easy one but it's the type of dribble kick they love to practice and in a game where Brisbane were kicking goals out their arse we needed it at that moment.
The third opportunity was the kick to Hill in the last that needed to be put out in front of him but instead traveled to high and long and advantaged Starcevich.
What the future holds for him is a debate that can wait.
Tonight he's just a 20yo kid who was part of a Collingwood Premiership winning team.
Enjoy the moment.
What? While Taylor Adams and McStay are cursing their injuries, Ginnivan is at the horse races.
Ginnivan was lucky to start and didn’t appreciate it.
Eating carbs, drinking water and sleeping is the way to prepare running 14 km and playing the best game of your life. Not being at Moonee Valley.
Was the worst on ground.
Luck for him we won.
Exactly what is wrong with going to the races.Stop sugarcoating it.
Worst on ground for us cause at least Billy nullified Harris in the first half.
Going to the races the night before Granny cause his mate had a nag running is the most pathetic excuse I've ever heard and that was after he was supposed to be earning back respect after his tumultuous start to the year.
His head is not in the right place and unlike younger Jordy this can't be written off as boys will be boys or the even more laughable young man will learn excuses.
Get *en rid of him while we're still a chance to scab some second rounder for him.
ps. this post would get a truckload of likes had we lost.
I'll admit I didn't have an issue with it at the time. Then I watched him play yesterday and all I'll say is he's lucky we won cause if we lost this would've been cherrypicked by the media (Kane Cornes) as the reason we lost.Stop sugarcoating it.
