• Tom Fullarton (Brisbane)

• Shane McAdam (Adelaide)

• Koltyn Tholstrup (Pick 13)

We do not need to get our 'best players' though. Just need to fix some issues in our list.

The fact that the club came out and declared DJ Shitboy is a 'required player' is a clear signal that we are overrating our list.

I am not saying that Goldstein, Duursma and Gresham are world beaters. But they are leagues better than Fullarton and McAdam.

Our biggest move this year was testing the market for Oliver.

Still disappointed Oliver isn’t happening. Would have been an amazing chance to rebalance our list.

Instead we are now flogging off our depth for F3rds

If we were overrating our list I think it would be far more likely that we are trading picks out for players. Seems we are well aware. We know we need to stock up on younger talent coz the cupboard is pretty bare.

Is Tim Lamb jostling to take the crown of being the stupidest list manager for 2024 onwards?

In: Two state league plodders

And none of those mentioned players does anything to fix their soft unaccountable midfield

I don’t think Tim Lamb is up for it. Seems to always just go for the easy fall-on-our-lap deals.

The guy has been in the job for 11 years. There's not a single player still on the list aside from Gawn that was there before he started.

May, Grundy, Lever, Hunter, Hibberd, Langdon, Melksham, Schache, Tomlinson, Dunstan, Brown the current guys on the list who we didn't draft. Would you really argue that most, or even many, were "fall on our lap deals". And that's just the guys still around.

Tyson, Michie, Vince, Garlett, Lumumba, Frost, Kennedy, Bugg, Lewis, McKenna, Preuss, Balic, Kolodjashnij are the others we have traded in.

Cross the only DFA I can think of; that appears to be a weak spot.

Fair mix of established talent, young hopefuls, needs-must, OOC bargains and contracted players in there.

We also pioneered the future pick trading racket that every club now sadly does, and we got a couple of years of benefit before they all twigged after our flag.

Maybe he's no longer up to the job, I dunno, but I feel like people are just desperate for someone to blame for us having a terrible finals exit x2 and are going scattergun.

PS: this headline after his appointment does at least prove that our media team could be worse

As much as Harmes pisses me off, I am suprised we pissed him off for a F3 when under contract. If the bloke was a free agent we would’ve gotten a second rounder.

Good to get the deal done but also feels like we took slightly unders / really must have wanted him out.

For a non best 22 player I don’t you can expect anything more than a 3rd rounder. Was apparently on a back ended deal earning $500k next year so getting that off the books so we can now front load some guys next year so we can clear cap space for the following year.

He was the one who wanted out, cracked the shits coz he wasn't getting a game. With the money he was on we are probably just happy to have him off the books.

It feels like the club really wanted to free up a list spot to hit the draft.

Maybe committing to Melkshakes with his 12-month injury was just a dumb idea. Although I'm supportive of keeping Melksham even if he doesn't play. Need an enforcer to keep May in check.

The Petty story feels like a media beat up to me. Team dying to get a bloke in who is under contract and just had a lisfranc injury. I don't buy it.

I love Petty, but I also love a bit of trade drama so I’m all for this.

Lamb re-signing Melksham to take up a list spot for an entire year to rehab his knee is a master class in list management.

Melky is effectively on the 'out' list too.
