I see Curtin as a flanker like Troy Chaplin. Chaplin was also a top 10 pick.

Sanders just doesn't seem that good to me. Terrible decision maker. And disposals aren't that great. Athletically he is average. Just gets a stack of it.
Chaplin was pick 15. I agree on Sanders but Curtin looks like a gun to me.

If Sanders had JHF about him he'd be pick 2 not outside the 5

He might be, blokes on North board discussing using 2/3 on him. They really rate him over there.

This also is possibly a stronger draft than last year also. If JHF was in this draft would be go above Reid? Probably not right.

Honestly, if Petty did leave and McKay turned out to be a possibility (big hypothetical), I'd want us to at least explore it, depending on the cost.

He's a headcase in front of goal, but he's still a headcase who kicked 58 goals in 19 games a couple of years back, and forces defenders to be accountable. Also has claims to being the best contested mark in the comp having rated 7th, 4th and 1st over the last three seasons, respectively.

Again, a lot comes down to how we move the ball, but christ, anything is better than being left with Schache, Brown and McDonald as the options for our 2nd KPF next year.

And hey, he'd fit well with Trac and Koz. Between them, they could kick 15 behinds per game next year. Just think of the expected score!

"Commentator SLAMS coverage of Grundy trade impasse"
Oh those articles are even better. When they can't find some media stooge to make a big statement so they just find five comments on twitter instead.

Would much rather Levi than plowing over a million in cap space into a Travis Cloke try hard. High possibility wed regret it heavily by the end of next season.
Yeah and we'd improve Carlton's team no end. De Koning could play as the second tall and they'd have shit loads of free money and picks. Same as the Oliver scenario

The question you should always ask yourself , why would a former Coleman medalist under contract be available? Why would Carlton want to get rid of him when he hasn't indicated he wants to leave?

I feel this is one of the things clubs like Essendon refuse to ask themselves when trading for players.

Team balance is quite often a reason that’s understated.

If I was Carlton I'd push him out the door for the right players. They could really use someone like Watson to finish off their forward line.

Think it has far more to do with McKay's form and goal kicking getting worse since his Coleman. If he was kicking goals he wouldn't be available.
