The biggest issue l see here is: people dont know how many picks Brady wants to take to the Draft..

If he wants 3 then we go after Pick#1. > #2, #15, #17, #18 could be used which is way overs but would get it and end up with 1,2,3

If he wants 4 then we go after Geelongs or GWS 1st pick offer 2 of > #15, #17, #18 end up with 2,3,8 and the 1 remaining pick or

We could even go after GWS with the remaining pick and end up with 2,3,7,8 plus Haynes

If he wants 5 then he puts up the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign..

l'm more liking the 2,3,7,and 8 option...

Yep, I'd happily go to the draft with our current picks of 2,3, 15, 17, 18, and pick the best available.

The fact that the experts have got pick one wrong so often over the last 25 years would suggest that's smart, no point in sacrificing picks for it. Kids develop at different ages etc etc. A myriad of reasons why the experts have continually got that pick wrong - often impossible to predict and easy in hindsight.

If Swans were offered 2 first this year for McDonald, I reckon they would have taken it and not looked back.

They can't be offered two as yet as Freo don't have any at this stage! This was all connected to the Darcy rumour and also why trying to get a first out of saints

Just on the Haynes pick 7 salary dump - my info is North have been into Haynes for at least 2/3 months knowing what his contract situation is. I think Brady was playing a pretty good game of poker when asked about it this week. Watch this space as it’s still very much a live option which would in all likelihood secure us a handy player and the trade capital to get pick 1. The only stumbling block is - are GWS still prepared to deal - again I think they may have been telling some white lies when discussing it earlier this week and are certainly open to the move.

Jase is a straight shooter, you'd think between him and Brady they'd sort something out behind away from the media glare.

The HR VORTEX is killing Weagles list management team.

They prefer Mckercher over HR as a pure gun midfielder that is ready to go.

Unfortunately, their fans will burn the place down if they don't pick HR at 1.

They are desperate for us to trade pick 2 as that is the only way they save face and get McKercher.

So North's best offer should only be pick 2 and 15.

Weagles dealing with Melbourne won't happen unless they rate Curtin as the 3rd or 4th best player.

Either way we can't lose even if we take 2 and 3 (MCKerch and Dursma/Watson).

How sweet it is to be in a position to screw a team that only won premierships on the back of drug fuelled players.

I wish we got some of the absurd positive spin from the AFL website that other clubs do.

Ridiculously misleading article stating the sun's turned pick 4 into 6 first round picks. Which isn't even close to accurate. Yet no mention of us bringing in two players and still bettering our top end picks.

Stuff like "the suns brought in a first rounder from North Melbourne", completely ignoring the fact they traded one out for it
