Popular narrative to s**t can St Kilda.

The complaint under Ratten was the gap between our best and our worse was too big. Ross has raised the floor, now the team is going to work on raising the ceiling, with an eye to sustained success.

What this looks like? Trading out fat, dropping the big contracts, and maintaining or adding through the draft.
Ways to absolutely butcher it? Go all in on squibs like Mckay, Goldstein, Gresham and Duursma.

Stfu brad johnson you gimp
I ****ing hated Johnno when he played and I hate him even more in the media. What a shitheel.

Haha, Classic

I experienced that for real. I was in the zone swimming laps at the local pool and noticed a couple of things floating in my lane, which I brushed aside. My son walked over to see how I was doing and saw the 'turds' and raised the alarm. He had a huge laugh at my expense. The funniest part was one of the mothers of the kids in the local swim clubs reaction. She got stuck into the pool attendant while he was fishing them out. She demanded the poor kid shut down the pool...🤣

Nice

When I worked with people with disabilities I used to take a guy who was deaf and blind with an intellectual disability swimming at an indoor heated pool. I was leading him around in the water and a big turd rose to the surface. He must have reached down and released it from his swimmers. An old lady was furious and yelled at me as she got out of the pool saying if "those people" can't control themselves they shouldn't be allowed in public pools. I calmly said "it wasn't him... it was me".

Freo are basically an academy that can also compete in the league. They've produced some outstanding players for clubs.
Kind of telling when even a WA born, NGA graduate wants out to another state after a few years.

How many clubs put no time into trying to recruit Henry, assuming as a local he wouldn't want to leave?

I don't know much about him, is Henry in our best 22?
From what he did in the 2nd half of 2023, yes, he'll slot in nicely on the wing to replace Byrnes (assuming D-Mac is still injured). I think he's a long-term successor to Hill for that high half-forward role. Could also just slot in to Gresham's role as a small forward so his versatility will help him

Geez I wish we would take a risk and trade next year's first for one this year. Get another kid in now and get the development into him. We need more young guys to emerge at the same time as Owens Poo Windy and Nas.
I'm backing us to improve this season so why not risk it and go for it? Especially when everyone is doubting us. Someone might feel like our 24 1st is going to be very high.

No way, this is a shocking draft and we could go either way next year.

Something I’ve been thinking about with us and this.

We are in a really good position where any kid we draft has no expectation of AFL footy next year.

In past years. Especially last year. We needed that messiah or star.

It’s a very different proposition next year. You would be looking at Keeler Hotton Dow Henry to come into the senior side.

We potentially could have a very good year of development ahead of us and a good season at AFL level.

Hopefully Sandy is a very competitive environment next year because if we play all our youth we'll be a pretty uncompetitive AFL side. Pressure on spots is always an advantage. Guys like Seb Ross will have 2 or 3 players breathing down his neck.
