Yeah no worries I understand that. I question his ability to make an impact sufficient for a top ten pick.

He has lacked consistency for sure . Thing he does really well is hold onto marks but the question marks are there. Is he Curnow or is he Josh battle.

My concerns on him are his lack of games where he has been dominant given how early he has physically matured. I don’t see him as the same level athlete as Curnow who is a true outlier. And I don’t see the same level ground ball threat as Curnow either.

So yep, the marking looks great, but I’m not convinced it will be a point of difference at the next level.

I’m an armchair expert, I’m basing this off a couple of interviews and videos, but that’s my opinion.

I wouldn’t say he’s that physically mature. Yes he’s no string bean but He’s not Darcy fogarty or jedd Walter.

Curnow was merely an example of players with upside who don’t go in the top and then every one wonders how they didn’t get picked up earlier, there’s players like that in every draft

I can see your position on it, but I’m not sold on him.

I’m also biased because my number 1 pain point about this club is the fact we still can’t runout games/cover ground well enough. So to see Wilson, Windsor and Leake there around our pick makes me want them. I’m sick of seeing GWS, Geelong, Collingwood, Hawthorn, Richmond prioritise great runners and have sustained success. While we muck around with KPPs.

I dunno geelong need a midfield just as bad it’s their glaring weakness right now, their backline is okay.

Their back line is aging though. Getting a gun KPD in now to partner SDK will look genius in 3-4 years time.

Emerging key forward, consistently is an issue with 90% of them. If they don’t have that issue they are usually a top 2-3 pick.

Hard to say. It is the same for a lot of medium / tall forwards. Under 19 footy has not been flush with 40 plus goal kickers . Also playing different roles. He has played some really high forward .In some games he could be working a bit harder and leading to better spots but that can get better as he is a decent athlete .It is hard to get a 100% read because his best is really good but their is a sample of not as good. I would be fine picking him . He has more runs on the board than most of the forward prospects. I suspect if he was 5cm taller there would be more credit . At 193cm the inconsistent stuff is enough to create a little doubt.

with the acquisition of duursma I would be surprised if Windsor was our choice. He spent 90% of his game time this year on the wing and there is no evidence of his ability to play back or forward flank. The only feasible way I see us choosing Windsor if there are designs of moving Durham back. I think Wilson, Leake or edwards most likely though tholstrup is still a wildcard for me.

FYI this is Caleb Windsor, the guy who on Twomeys show Gettable yesterday said shapes as a top ten bolter. Twomey was pretty definitive saying he will be in and around Essendon and Geelongs picks. Registered one of the top 20m sprint times at the combine:

15 (19/20), 17 (22) and their F2 could work out very nicely for us. Hell, we could throw our two seconds in and get that last first rounder as we'll only be able to use one of them anyway.

Has predominantly been a winger..
We’re well stocked for wingers, wouldn’t make a tonne of sense for me unless we’re looking to play him in a different position to the one he usually plays..

Id like 2 x hard running wing/flank/outside mid, a midfielder and a ruckman or fwd/ruck. Pete needs a key forward with him but i feel we'll be throwing a huge offer and try and bring one in. Caddy id still take if slides.

Sanders is a must take. Archer Reid if there at our 2nd id take. Windsor and Wilson sound good for us as players who can add run.

Looks good. Liking the prospects of playing him off half back. Good endurance, good skilled. I just question if we need another player that lacks in the strength department.

I'm going Caddy over him only because the ability to take contested marks across the ground is a glaring deficiency. He also addresses the strength issue.

The dream however is for Sanders to slide through, though that is unlikely unfortunately.

I think his attributes look great for half forward. Seems a natural footballer, covers the ground well, has nice lateral and phone box movement and change of direction. Zac Bailey like.

Pretty close to my wants with our four picks (three ND and one R)

*Elite level running back flanker with scope to become a winger if needed.
*A ruckman with forward craft.
*Best available with other two picks but no KPD or small forwards.

Leake, Wilson, Windsor all in the frame as option 1 at our first or Sanders/Caddy if they slip as best available and find the two wants with our later picks.

Hopefully cal is making a nice little false economy of draft risers so there is a riser and someone slips. Sowing the seeds of doubt then we pick up sanders or caddy
