I would have liked GWS to call out Caiden Cleary ... but in truth Will Graham is a better footballer, and could be a sneaky chance if bid late in round 1.

And as a treat out of boredom, here's a 2 round Phantom draft I made immediately post trade period. I have very little idea of list needs so apologies if you got a player a spot you're stocked for. Missing picks are because of matched bids, or in Melbourne's case because I think they'll only take 2 players

Have a feeling, Leake will go to the Dees at pick 14.
Means DeMattia may slip to us.
Or may need to take C.Edwards at 17, if he doesn't slip to our 2nd pick.
Think we take Goad at our 2nd pick.
And agree, we probably pick Dawson with our 3rd.

As you mentioned he's a basketball convert, so being that dual sports athlete will appeal to clubs along with his power and accumulation ability. He is, at the moment, a pretty stock standard inside midfielder at the moment though, so has work to do on his skill execution and impact, and he often tries to do too much I find

Green I think will find a home in the top 20, Edwards I think is 99% chance of being there at 24, and likely into the 30's

Haven't seen anything significant from him in my viewings so I can't really comment on him as a player, but no draft combine invite us usually a sign there's not interest at AFL level

He was one of about 20 odd I was trying to cram between 31-40, so he's certainly in that group of late 2nd/ early 3rd round selections for me but just hasn't been all that convincing this year, the injury clearly didn't help but when he came back he was lacking that burst speed we saw prior, and it reduced his impact with possession dramatically given he struggled to break into space for his kicks. Hopefully it was just down to not being 100% right post injury, but it makes him far less appealing if not imo, given there's not really much that makes him standout as a midfielder from the rest of the pack
