So I take it you won't watch next year then. ?
I barely watched it this year, ill likely dip in and out pending others shows i prefer.

To be clear when i did dip in i didnt really have any issue with the show (although i would note the judging is wildly inconsistent). I just found the result stupid.

Isnt that the same thing?

$65k/2/12= $2,708 per week that times 52 is $140k (in which case you can work it back)

Im actually genuinely asking this cause im terrible at math

I did: 12 weeks x 7 days x 15 = total number of hours on the Block.

65k/that number = pay rate per hour.

The saltiness from K&B would not just be about the $65K, it would be the fact they cooked themselves so hard in this series that even the shitkicker influencing gigs probably won't be coming their way.

The whole "it pays to be nice" really does seem to be appearing true.. the two winners will likely find themselves a number of advertising gigs, certainly Steph & Gian in paid promotions. Eliza has such a personality that I wouldn't be surprised if she finds some sort of gig in the media, understandably already being well connected. Her and Liberty's personalities were so reasonable that they would be a good marketing bet.

H1.. they'll fade in to obscurity most likely

H2 and H3... forget it!

Spot. On.

Like to me that auction ep just completely jumped the shark, to each their own but that was just silly to watch.

It literally has nothing to do with the products and everything to do with the residual marketing he's doing for himself, he's clearly a smart man.

But that in itself is the problem with this show.. without these two dickheads the show would fail dismally

Thats my point though.

Its not about the houses anymore, the result just solidified that

Who actually were the real "villains" in the end? Seems that H2 and H3 kind of split the difference and from what i saw Leah and Ash got a bit of a sympathetic edit. Couple that with their unique styling and i could see them getting a bit of Dan and Dani invited back to help sort of work.

Like my MIL bangs on about how the show is so s**t now, its just about bullying etc etc. I wouldnt necessarily try to defend it cause thats reality TV baby but that result on Sunday was just so outrageous it kind of sinks itself.

I used love watching My Kitchen Rules but before it went on hiatus (didn't watch the new season), but it like this became less about cooking and more about the bitching

Yeh that was pretty terrible this year, that bald foodie bloke just got beaten up the whole time

H3 were the outright front runners of flogsville

H2 though, yeah they started off fairly crap, bounced back after being supposedly given advice to wind it back a notch due to how it was making them look, then sorta drifted back in to w***er town by the end. I don't think their opinions would be respected or appreciated enough for them to come back in that sort of vein though.

H3 100%

And apparently they were "toned down" in the last few weeks due to all the complaints ch9 were getting.

Leah was extremely bitchy towards Steph- as well as H3. Kristy and Leah were "BBF" for the first 6 weeks or so- that was genuine (until it all blew up), and said really nasty and mean things to camera, about Steph. But pretended to be her friend.

They were very patronizing about her to camera.

Then apparently the girls in H5 got in Leah's ear about how she wouldnt be getting a good edit this way and she changed her tune pretty quickly.

Until the whole thing with H1 came up and she couldnt help herself being a nosy ****en Karen that she really is.

Yeh i saw some of this, i think i got the recap when Leah and Ash tried to confront Kristy about it.

All felt pretty forced.
