Essendon are consistently one of the top home attendance numbers and they are consistently having high membership numbers.

Our membership has stagnated over the last year or so because supports are getting over the joint, but decades?

Essendon had the 4th highest avg home crowd attendance in 2023 (54,000) and it is consistently in the top 4 across the entire AFL for many years. half our home games are at bloody Marvel too. Both H&A we will are in 4th.

Membership numbers yes have petered out, with the sustained lack of success. but we still have almost 90k members.

And commercially we are the 5th lowest funded club in the AFL, because of how successful we are off field.

How havent we been a big club for decades exactly?

They saved the club during the saga. And, Barham / Vozzo have protected the footy dept from their influence. Again, that is past tense. Lots around the club has changed the last 6 months. People need to understand that. Yes, only results will prove anything but the notion Sheedy or corporates still run Essendon is yesterday’s reality. It’s a different club in 2024.

What rubbish. Factually incorrect. Commercially, Adelaide don’t come close to Essendon. Essendon dwarfs them in membership, sponsorship, attendance. Essendon turnover at another level.

Yes, West Coast and Collingwood, together with Carlton and Richmond are having / had recent success and their community have jumped on the bandwagon. Essendon, when it demonstrated success on field, it will too.

Did Collingwood when they were missing finals between 2015-7 get sub 30K home / away crowds? You bet. They were getting below 30K to home games at the MCG. Keep digging lol.

It's not a grand statement at all. These clubs have gone past Essendon, who have stagnated through diabolical leadership and on field performance.

My facts are plain and clear. You are held up by large attendances against the three biggest clubs in Melbourne on Marquee fixtures you are gifted by the AFL.

No club has more marquee fixtures than Essendon. You have even more than Collingwood.

Memberships don't mean anything if you are getting sub 30k crowds against smaller teams, because that just further strengthens my point that you are getting carried by the big 3 in those marquee fixtures.

There is so much delusion at Essendon it is actually hilarious.
