I rate Zurhaar but he competes with Fritsch for the same role and Fritsch is just better at it.
Think they play completely different roles. Zurhaar is a dynamic pressure forward who can take a contested grab, will scrap for his goals, Slick is a prototypical leading forward who does very little defensively. I see Zurhaar as someone who would play the role of what we used Sparrow in in 2021 but better. Anyway, doubt hes coming so a pointless discussion pretty much.

Yeah Zurhaar is like you mihocek or caddy but better. Kind of like fills Tracs roll forward. Those 2 would be incredible to swap back and forth. Just won't happen but.

That’s true but I’m not sure if you can have two medium forwards down there, let alone three if McAdam is fit.

You can have 6 if they are nimble enough to pressure. You couldn't have 6 Frittas but you could have 6 Jamie Elliot's

On the night the Ziebell got attacked, Curtis Taylor was getting continuously punched in the head by some thug and Zurhaar just stood there watching and didn't do anything. Not a good look.

We need to get that thug who punched Curtis Taylor to stand up for our players in a big final when Maynard gets out of line. Use our mid season draft pick on him

Okay, but he's gotta get past the Jake Melksham test

This wouldn’t surprise me at all. In fact I reckon if Petty leaves it’ll be to Port, Adelaide don’t have a huge need for him. I know Petty wants to go home at some stage but I actually don’t think it’s in either SA clubs interest to trade for him just yet (Port might if Sav and BZT are flunks this year).

Reckon with Tex to soon wind up and Thillthorpe injury prone their KPP stocks aren't that great. Don't reckon there's many clubs that wouldn't love a player who can play either end like Petty.

I feel like Sparrow out of all of our interstate players seems to be the most settled (other than Koz who signed on, but even then there was a lot of speculation)

From the sounds of it he’ll re sign. I don’t think this next contract will be massive money. But will take him to FA.
Crows real target is Petty so I doubt they’ll really prioritise Sparrow.
Thats still two years away for Petty potentially, hard to plan that far out, a lot can happen between now and then. I get what we are doing, we didnt want Sparrow to make it to the end of the season and have to pay even more if he pops off this season. If we have locked him up now at a reasonable price ~ 400-500k 2-4 years im fine with it.

I can’t see sparrow signing on more than 3 years with FA on the horizon. Unless Petty has a change of heart he’ll be pushing for a trade this year. But has another year on his contract so gives us a little more leverage. He’s one I really want to keep.
