Umps get the advantage rules wrong on the weekly. No idea. The other one that kills me is when they allow advantage when the ball is loose, nobody in possession, but if the correct team picks it up…’play on!’

Get a feeling that Carroll may stay in the midfield rotation until Walsh is back. Docherty to the wing or half back when he returns, his composure on ball is drastically different to when he's playing out wide or behind the ball... Just doesn't look like the same All Australian talent that he does when playing half back. Slams it on the boot too often when he's on ball.

I like Zill because he can stay in the team longer. Pumping out a few 100+ whilst i can focus my stuff elsewhere.

Less chance I have a 123k sitting on the bench all season

Crazy that people are writing off Zilliams after that game.

Priced at $215k. Scored a passable 73.
But it was his first game in 18 months and he didn't play the practice games. I'm actually impressed he played as well as he did with that lead in.
Will only get better.

He was completely gassed after the 3rd quarter too. Very noticeable he wasn't quite at full fitness yet without the praccy games

If Lyons is named for R1 he is in my team. Takes the load off Neale and Dunkley in the middle. Robertson may be thinking he should have asked Eagles for a big contract.

Carroll turned the match with his cameo in the middle. Deserves a full match.

Zilliams did enough for me.

That's what a 200k player needs to average to make 150k. It's why most top draft picks are failures.

If it wasn't for the Doc injury, I'm sure the plan would have been to manage Zilliams ....he'll get better each week, and with best 18, you can afford to hold him, till after his R2 bye ....and we should have a fully primed Zilliams by then

It was Zilliams first match for a long time and hasn't had a full pre season as well and playing a Top 4 team away first up.
It was a high intensity match and there were not many scores over 100 for both teams only 8 in total.
He will be better for the run and will have an easier game next week against the Tigers at the MCG.
