Some of his efforts on the weekend were pathetic. He's been phoning it in for years, it's absolutely lazy from one of our senior leadership group players.
And that's just lazy commentary. No further evidence just doubling down on your previous statement.
Do a better job. You're a moderator and should be setting a higher standard for the narrative

Out:
Bombing high to the same flank coming out of defence.
Bombing high to the same spot going into the forward 50.

In:
A tactic. Any ******* tactic.
Bombing high into a zone defense is primary school stuff isn't it?
Why they didn't use the run and draw with hands as the stock play is another of big footy Crows supporter mysteries.
Chris Scott was just laughing at us. Needs to hurt.
Gut run and gun was our one wood last year, we are now building a reputation for being dumb, lazy and accepting.
Nicks needs to spend less time shaving his balls and more time driving a vision of win at all costs.

Pedlar was awful but I'd give him at least one more week. I still think he can make it and not sure dropping him to the SANFL will help him. It will have to happen soon though if he doesn't turn it around.

Murphy, Smith and McHenry go before him in my opinion, none of those guys are getting any better.

That game against West Coast gave some false hope. Our depth isn't that good.

Obviously the wing is something we havent nailed down. Wouldnt mind us trying Hinge and Milera on each wing. Already proved themselves a good team on the back flanks, constantly contribute and have good disposal. Plus when the game is lost and they press up it seems to work well. Could be a good way to work in some of the untried guys too into a confidence building position and turn our weakness into a strength. Something like:

Max Butts Worrell
Nank Keane Curtin
Milera Daws Hinge
Soligo Tex Pedlar
Keays Rash Fog
ROB Crouch Rankine

Laird Ryan Burgess Edwards
Cook

Watched the Beveridge and Cornes thing on the AFL website this morning. Can't argue with anything they said. Actually pleased to see it presented clearly and concisely in the media. Certainly won't get that analysis in the local media.

Just checking if you hadn’t changed your mind again ;)

Also do you still think it was a good idea to re-sign Nicks so early?
Yes …. been a strong advocate of Nicks resigning

He’s had two horrible performances …. let’s see how he changes things up

Are you talking Friday night?
In general....but Friday night was no exception.
He got destroyed one on one. Yes, Hawkins is a beast but his positioning makes him vulnerable.
I think I saw atleast 4 instances where instead of holding the ball in for a ball up he gave the ball up and spilled out to a cats player. It created a turnover and goal on atleast two plays.
He panics and has very little feel for the game.
We are missing Murray badly.

He can start by heading back into the box and get his coaches in spec.
The communication system is a shambles.
Mids don't know what the Fwds want. Sort that shit out first.
And the Fwds have no idea how to create space or deal with the zone defense.

I remember clearly 2 of Hawkins goals had nothing to do with his defending,1 on a lead that NO defender had a chance with, other he was in the right position as a defender in front and the ball drifted over the back not his fault. And you think you saw?

Ill see if I can get the times of the game and come back to you.

Yes but if those 2 horrible performances are the reason we miss the 8, like his 2 horrible performances last year to open the season….

And what is going to be your opinion if we miss the finals this year? What if it’s evident by the bye we won’t be, would you be re-signing him then?

1st qtr - 15.39 to go - turned ball over to Geelong at HB - Stengle goal
1st qtr - 10 to go - out positioned by Hawkins. Mannagh goal.
3rd qtr - 18 to go - two turn overs in d50 selling Crouch into trouble
3rd - 7.50 to go. Handball to Keane in d50 blindly. Keane immediately under pressure.
I could continue but he has zero awareness, just wants to get the ball our of his hands with no idea who's around him.

Have to agree that butts is also a liability. Just looks a nervous wreck these days with minimal skills
