Player Watch #14 Tim Taranto.

The thing that shits me most about his game is lack of variance in tempo. Its all the same speed and for a player that isn't clean its a concern. Im at the point where I think he might be better suited to the high half forward role where he can utilise his endurance and have a point of difference when he goes forward as is marking threat forward. In our current set up its too much of the same and between him, Prestia and Hopper he is one who is most capable of playing elsewhere.
This is why gws hid him forward cause he is not a midfielder

I hold this guy in high regard, always been in his corner since before we even recruited him.

He needs to take a long hard look at himself after that performance. I fully expect him to bounce back in a big way on Thursday night.

* me you lot carry on. wins the bnf last year now it's 5 mOrE YEarS!! after one bad game, along with the rest of his team mates.

This joint is toxic.
People have the right the question the trade. The bnf doesn't mean his immune to criticism. Doesn't exuse the fact we payed 2 first rounds picks for a player that can't hit a target.

Hard a dirty day on Saturday, no doubt about it. But one poor match doesn't warrant people turning on him.

Taranto has some serious runs on the board from 2023 with his Jack Dyer Medal. He's been a great pick up so far.

Whether the rest of the team are good enough to cash in on his and Hopper's arrival is another matter entirely.

So fast to turn on a player that literally carried us all last year.

TT hops and Prestia are not the problem individually, the problem is they are all inside mids playing on the same line together.

Show me another team that starts with 3 inside mids?

It’s a coaching issue, not a player issue.

I watched Taranto closely last year and he received a lot of attention at ball ups. especially later in the year, at times it was full on wrestling. there wasn't any of that on Saturday. he was playing to YZE's instruction and it didn't work for him or the team. he could have easily gone to Rowell and bodied up vs him. we have trained a certain way and vs GC it fell apart in the 1/2 half. let's hope they tinker with it and the set up work better this weekend. having dusty and nank won't hurt

Let's calm down the bloke carried us last year, he had a poor game his worst for the club so far.
but let's wait for his response v Carlton.

hey, if you're going to sook at least get the facts right.

Ended up being picks 14 and 22. I wouldn't be complaining about that one. won a bnf in his first year and is still only young. The Hopper one stings.
I went by the previous post and it’s irrelevant bc it’s still an ugly deal anyway you look at it . Who said I’m sooking as that’s what you do all day on here ******* playing fireman Sam?

I'm the first person to come to this guy's defense, but what I don't understand is how his ball use by foot can be and continues to be so bad.
He is literally paid a crap ton of money per year, so one would think it would be something he would get specialised help with to rectify as I assume foot skills can be trained and subsequently improved.

I know he is aware that he is deficient in this area of his game but yet there's been no noticeable improvement.

Boggles the mind.
