Freijah so impressive, the clear standout in terms of AFL transition

along with his kicking, he has good strength, will sit under a ball, strong hands, little bit of mongrel, lots of ticks,
anyone seen enough of him to judge his pace?
More an endurance athlete rather then one who focuses on speed but he isnt slow and can also slip though traffic.

Craig Peters and Ben Cavarra goal early.

Amazing how even in VFL - we look the better team but seem to have very little positive energy. So many players just going through the paces.

Dogs completely took foot off the peddle and now Box Hill back into it.

Really shows that Lobb - when the pressure is on him doesn’t lift - made a couple of really bad errors being fit and then missed at least one goal - out in front on a bit of angle and kicked out on the full - anyone can do that but it is the lack of aggression across the whole game that we can be critical of.

Sanders the same - he is playing OK but looks like either his confidence is down or doesn’t care. He will be fine and is just a young fella in his first half of his first season. I have no problem with him at all - we need to give him a break on the expectations that his is Selwood from game one (he did have a mouthwatering first game but kids = inconsistency and that’s ok) and let him develop and he will be a star - just back the match committee that this level is not ready for consistent AFL yet.

Friejah looks a cut above the rest of the Bulldogs. Most promising of the youngsters.

Croft getting eaten by Ethan Phillips (who looks fantastic) who is not even playing on him but coming across from covering Lobb - who is making that easy.

Keath started ok but Busslinger has been more visible since half time and doing some good things but painfully Gardner is probably getting the most since half time but just shows his decision making deficit over and over again. Besides Freijah he looks even worse.

On the open questions:

- wing: Poulter looking poor - covering ground but easily pushed off it

- small forward: McChicken and Artie both very quiet

- mid season draft. Bianco was probably BOG early on and gets the ball but just makes so many mistakes. Spicer very quiet.

- Daniel - not killing it

- Bedendo - just seems lost.

ATM next in would be Friejah, then Scott and Sanders.

Nice fight back from BH but on top again. They're a good outfit at this level the Hawks so whilst it's annoying we haven't put it to bed earlier, it probably is only due to poor conversion.
