Which team (Carlton or Collingwood) has had the hardest draw so far in your eyes?
Carlton by a mile, it's a disgrace the easy draw that last seasons premiers got.

Refuse to get into a debate over who has had the harder draw, but we obviously haven't played the same teams under the same conditions.

So to say decisively that one team is better than another based on one additional win at the halfway mark of the season, is fundamentally flawed.

Unless your belief is that Essendon are decisively better than Carlton?

Yet both teams have played six of last years finalists.

Also Carlton has played the 17th and 18th sides, which Collingwood is yet to do.

But yeah ok, Carlton hardest draw by miles in your opinion.

You are just so hard done by.
And they've had the most injuries.

And they've had the hardest run from the umpires.

They are performing unbelievably well in the face of such extreme adversity.

Fair enough. I haven't said a word about who has been better because the ladder to me is meaningless until every team roughly plays each other once.

But it took the Blues getting ahead for the ladder to no longer be important for Pies fans on here. When your lot were ahead it was all that was spoken about.

Perhaps bringing up that we have played the same amount of finalists from last year, or that Carlton have player Nth and Richmond also was a bit unfair, as you were obviously talking about the travel.
Carlton have been away to Bris and Syd
Collingwood have been away to Bris - GWS and Freo in Perth.

Looks like it cant be that either.

Oh well I will keep looking, there must surely be something in the fixture that makes you assume Carlton have been so hard done by.

When did they say Carlton were hard done by? Question was which team had the harder draw so far and they answered.

I was told 2023 form is irrelevant 2 months ago - if it was irrelevant then surely at Round 12 it is very irrelevant now
Ok relevant now.
Collingwood have played 6 of the current top 7 teams.
Carlton have played 6 of the top 8 teams, so fairly even.
Carlton also have played the two bottom sides, which Collingwood have not.

So again, how is Carltons draw miles harder than Collingwood, as I would have thought they were fairly similar.

‘Courtesy of an uneven draw’ now

The excuses are piling up.
Refer to my other post about the merits of which draw has been harder.

It is factual that there are variances in respective teams draws to this point of the season.

If not, why are Essendon still 8th favourite for the flag despite sitting second on the ladder?

Oh sorry I forgot... odds are merely for 'mug punters'...

It's their opinion. I would personally look at form when each team was played considering form/personnel is changing constantly for each team.

Maybe read the comment I was replying to.
Apparently Carltons draw is miles harder and it is a disgrace Collingwood's draw.

Yet they are similar, if anything Carlton a tad easier.

I just dont see how the draw can be a brought into question, as it is a nothing discussion.

I find it interesting how you switch analysis based on if it supports your "prediction"

Unfortunately for you, it's all scribed in stone

I think Carlton have had the tougher draw. But no one has said Carlton were hard done by - AFL can't predict who will rise and fall each year, injuries for each team when you play them etc

Wait... Please don't tell me Colliwobbles fans are trying to claim their fixture has been harder than ours so far??? 😂😂😂
No not this time fella.
It was a Carlton fan sooking over how hard Carlton's draw has been compared to Collingwood.

Personally, I think it is fairly even thus far and there is still half a season to go, so it is a mute point.

Also events in game.

For example, ACL to Coleman for Brisbane in Round 0, 3 x in-game injuries to Richmond in round 1, Dissentgate in the Freo game, etc...
You do this every year and it is meaningless - did Carlton not lose an important player to an ACL in Opening Round as well? Have Carlton (like every other team) not had games where they have lost multiple players mid-game? Have Carlton (like every other team) not had umpiring go against them? Answer is yes to all of them - just try and open the other eye for once.
