FMD Hardick why doesent he just take half the list up to shit coast , flog
because some players arent interested in joining the suns

He thinks if he recruits richmond people, he will win a flag with the suns lol

If they leave we will have the picks you mention, but why stop at 30. This is a deep draft and plenty of good kids will be around in the 40's maybe 50's.

Colina, Coulthard, Naismith are pretty much gone. Grimes will retire, Martin same or GC. With Baker, Rioli and Bolton, there's 8 without even considering trading Graham, MacIntosh and maybe Dow who will not take us anywhere so could easily be traded. Why not get in 8 or 9 new kids, all under 50 odd.
It’s very hard to nail three picks in one draft let alone more. I would like to spread the picks over two years.

He’s turned into a lying campaigner tbh
First gets Taranto and hopper in and *s off as coach after 6 months into them being at the club to burnout then 3 months later signs on a multi million $ deal to coach shit coast , meets with Dusty and Rioli , says the old line “ ohhh we are just catching up “ * off Dumma you lying sack of shite we all know you’re been in there ear
Stop trolling. You love the bloke. 😂

The way we are going, if the loss of players go to script, we will have about 4 or 5 picks on top of our 8 or 9 we have.
Bundle a few, trade a few and yes spread over 2 drafts, but this draft is deep so there will be picks in the 40's at least who have had great season to date. 6 or 7 this draft 5 or 6 next.

Bundling is the go. Don’t believe all this hysteria the draft is deep. Some players just never develop any further and Dow is a classic example. History shows that it’s hard to nail more than three guns in a draft, so I like to bundle or even try and trade for a decent player in if there’s a tall forward at the right age.

Rioli is our best player by some way this year. How else can we get the ball from the backline to the forward line.
Smith and/or Banks will have to step up.

I'll probably cop some grief for this but I'd gladly take Caleb Daniel for a later pick. All Australian half back with elite foot skills and is on the outer at the Dogs. No harm getting a couple of experienced role players in if we're going to absolutely load up on kids in the draft.

He'd only come if he was close to certain to play everyweek. What if Lynch, Prestia etc all somehow stay fit next season. If we are taking that many picks, we will need quite a few spots freed up in the best 23 to start playing them. We still have more than enough older players for next season.

He'd be certain to play every week next year if Rioli leaves and Short continues to stink it up.

Nice gag about Lynch and Prestia staying fit.

Definitely and he’d be a good leader as well.

Just about no club bar the start ups have ever had the array of picks to do it. Hawks one of the few that had the picks to do it in 2004. They got Roughead, Franklin, Lewis, Murphy, Taylor, Young from about 9 picks in all I think. Blues got Weitering, McKay, Curnow, Cuningham, Silvagni

You just take the picks where you think you can get best value for them. The way you are thinking is like people I used to bat with coming to me after I hit a boundary and saying that's your one boundary for the over, we don't need any more. I would walk away scratching my head and think so if I get a ball to put away I should block it, and next over try to hit a boundary off a less easy ball to score from? Fargg that.

You get while the getting is good TI. When the world offers you something good in abundance, you back up a cargo ship and start loading it by the container. Don't wait for another day when all you might be offered is guns pointing at your head.

Crazy talk from you.

Not a bad suggestion, but might have lost his zip? Maybe has lost some of his edge over the market in a post stand rule world.

Bring on the draft picks.

Rioli was such a good role player for us in the early days, very selfless. Turned into an exceptionally skilful and fast half back. Also a great leader apparently.

Good luck for the remainder of your career. Always a 3 time premiership tiger.

I haven't been watching much this year (thank you umpires and Meehan) is Daniel front runner for the JDM?

I have not been watching the game religiously, but when I do, he was miles ahead on a consistent basis with Vlaustin a second and some occasional flashes from Bolton.

Foot skills coming out of defence is as important as ever. Look at how the hawks set up now, all elite users.

So one draft of Hawthorn and you think it’s all easy , but as I said it’s difficult. Melbourne failed on numerous occasions and North haven’t been going well with lots of low picks. Carlton previously had some lots of low pick drafts as well with no success of greater than two.
We had the famous five in the lids draft and that was awful and recently the Brown draft is not looking a success story. Nonsense to think the more low picks you have the more guns you will get. The probability may increase , but there’s no guarantees. I’m not actually happy with this year’s candidates as there’s no real standouts and a lot of average to good kids out there that could just be average AFL footballers. Even drafts are the hardest to get right so I wouldn’t be getting too excited by putting all my eggs in one basket.
We built our premiership side over four to five drafts as the Lids and Tyrone trades helped us . Nonsense to think you’re going to find three or more guns in the one draft.

Just explain to me how pick 12 for an example is easier to get right in the 2025 draft than the 2024 draft just because you have more picks in the 2024 renewal?
