What are Weags chances of really beating Carlton?

I know Carlton have a lot of injuries but they're playing against two bottom teams - you'd think they'd will their way to a win somehow even if Eagles are playing a tad better presently.

Maybe it's better just for Carlton to put a line through us tomorrow, that way we've got all week to prepare for disappointment.

Very low mate

I think we are relying on GWS to beat the dogs in Ballarat tbh

no mate, it was not more annoying than our loss lol
All things being equal- we were always a long shot to win that , the fact that we got so close was the only thing makes it so tough to take.

But that result right there fux us both ways - first obviously the death ride but now pies are genuine chance to make it and at our expense .
It’s double edged , very sharp sword

Well considering the fact that Carlton live to **** us over, Eagles will be no chance.

They are favourites, it's not a low chance at all. They are playing terribly and now have injuries on top of it
When was the last time Carlton did anything that helped us?

They'll show up this week, Cripps loves playing WA teams, he is basically their whole side

It's really that one Essendon game that ****ed us over. We had zero excuses not to win that one.

I didn't expect us to beat Hawks in Tassie with no Pearce or Darcy. That game went as expected.

I didn't expect us to beat Geelong with Tabs playing and no Treacy, Pearce, or Darcy. But we got really close and couldn't finish, which made it all that much worse.

Realistically I expected a repeat of last year vs GWS, especially without those three. But again, we were right in it up until that Hogan 50m penalty.

100% - in isolation Carlton, Port, Hawks, Geelong and GWS are all forgivable if you furrow into the particulars.

Losing against that trash-brigade Essendon, 25 points up with 10 to go the clearance debacle we put on will never be forgivable and is the reason we've choked another season.

Go look at the lineups, I don't rate the Blues being able to score, they are used to hitting up two big fellas. Cripp's 250th..

Brisbane blowing 5 goal leads to lose by a couple points in back to back games but at least had the ****ing decency to win their game before that so they're still locked into finals.

These losses would've hurt so much less if we didn't **** it up vs Essendon.
even holding the ****en draw against essendon has us basically locked in
