What a round. Every game means something significant..

Rupo to smash nobs

Ormond in a real tight one over MAzenod and to keep round 18 alive for both clubs

A full strength Carey over the depleted Wellers

Parkdale to smash the rabble that is Fitzroy and put them in real relegation trouble. Will burgen turn up this week?

Monash at home over Whitefriars

I am getting to like you Sausage. That is brilliant. I agree with all tips, but i expect a full strength and revved up Wellers unit to seek revenge against the injury depleted Old Carey. 46 points. Bad news about some of the Carey boys at training during the week. Still think they are capable of pushing Ormond or Mazenod in the 1st semi.

They will continue to be rabble until they improve their onfield performances as that is all that matters.

Take your hand off it "Beacon", been a tough year; $hitload of injuries; a well-loved and respected premiership player lost his life overseas (only 25); and an influx of new people.

We're not playing for sheep stations but with the way my investments are performing, I'll be buying Cubbie Station and the Reds will be more powerful than Collingwood...

Yes suas , once again your form line seems to be spot on. The only one Im not sure about is the Wellers V Carey battle royal! Carey where mighty impressive against Rupo agreed, but Camb form has been great for over a month now! I'm gonna tip the draw in this one! :D

Gonna be a great week of c grade footy!
Good luck to all players:thumbsu:

Happy to take you on on this one monkey. Carey will have only one starting 18 player missing and camberwell will have 5.

Played on the small gramlick oval.

Nice try though monk. Let's check the teamsheets when they appear and see if I am right.

Ormond v Mazenod will be a belter.

Im only messin with you Saus. I have no idea this week who either club has out. Im not a believer in injuries or ovals determining results at the business end. No excuses my moto. Both clubs have 35-40 capables on the lists. A GF win for either team will be no less sweet if the other is missing 15 of the best players. Should be a great game. Think if Berranger, Gabe, Chard, Hilton, Cross, Heff, Tallis run out, then Camb will have way too much class at this level of footy.
Lets hope Ormond win and keep us all guessing!:D

Wel my oil is they won't all be running out!

I reckon if the Carey afl brigade ( heppell times two, Holland, jogga) plus their A grade guns-wigney, josephs, dolly, collins all run out, they will win

what do reckon Monkey?

Which game/lunch at your at tomorrow?

Would you believe the AFL. Work committments. Looking forward to 6.15pm when i can check those Ammos scores. 2 monster games. if your oil says they are missing, i will believe you. We will call it toss of the coin games.

11 goals Camberwell vs 2 in the 3rd q.

Ruppo were convincing winners over a NOBs side that will now definitely move down to "D" Grade next year. The reality is they did not play well in a game they needed to lift above themselves. We lifted in many areas today, this will put us in good stead come finals. What a day in "C" grade footy. Well done to OCamb, a great win, OC2 were very impressive last week. Well done to Mazenod, a resounding victory against an in form Ormond. They are 8-0 in the second half, they have nothing to play for next week other than momentum, they have an interesting conundrum as a club. Do they go all out against OC2 or do they rest players? Do OC2 rest players realising they are unlikely to gain second spot. We are well positioned to enjoy the double chance come the first week of finals, in spite of what posters may think, if we achieve it we deserve it, our first 11 rounds were fantastic. Go Rupo!!!!

Fitzroy Reds relegated to D Grade for 08.

I tend to agree with you Life of. they only have themselves to blame. Parkdale would have taken extra delight in this one (if i am correct they have a nice record over the reds from last year, smacked them in the wet by 10 goals at Gerry Green). Openly tanking the game last week by resting 7 of their top ten to 'make sure' they were right to beat the vultures - disgusting decision that has backfired.

Scribe - you were clearly not happy with what went on last weekend and through no fault of your own it has come back to hit the reds right between the eyes.

the reds will be relegated to d grade - will Burgen take the reigns and try and win another low section flag in 08??

or

Will fitzroy sack two coaches in the one year?????

You may be in charge for round 18 frase.

Back to where you belong - UNI Reds.

Momentum is the key - rest players at your peril. (it has ensured the reds are going ot D Section)

the Red is not happy. for those of you wondering where the master has been, i cannot say, but needless to say I am shattered. the moustached master has failed toe deliver for the roy boy (and is it a conincidence that Caulfiedl have just hit thier straps?)

Oh well, who said two D grade flags in 4 years is not an achievement !!!

Ormond senior football club: 16 goals 42 behinds between there seniors and reserves, Gunny what was it like??????

although i am not gunn reserve i was present at the game(s). a huge breeze was blowing in favour of the tennis court end. but this is no excuse. poor execution was the reason.

I wouldnt be writing the reds off yet, Monash play Rupo so much more likely to lose and the Reds would fancy their chances next week, hopefully we can end the season strongly but who knows, need to improve in front of goal although it doesnt help when the opposition kick a few goals in a row on the back of about 10 free kicks all going one way

Wel,l lets get the facts right Brian, it was 11 goals to 4.

I said in my original post that if all their AFL players play they would be hard to beat.,

Well the hepells and jogga didn't play , so my prediction was right

They wil still be dangerous come finals time.

2 massive names to return for Whitef.. next week vs reds.

Hmm....with the 1st and 2nd semi finals pretty much stitched up the next question is - will Whitefriars or Rupertswood cough up 4 points to Monash or Reds respectively?

You'd fancy Rupo at Sunbury in front of their rabid home crowd should do the business over the Ashers, so it probably comes down to what (if any) motivation Whitefriars have to finish off the season with a meaningless win.

Always a tough assignment at Donvale, but the dry conditions will probably suit the visitors a bit more than a heavy track.

Reckon Monash are an 80% chance to stay up now. Gotta love the 2up / 2down system - it always keeps things interesting!!

Brain let me tell you that after having beers this afternoon with the whitefriars coach & asst coach they are setting themselves for a massive game next week. I must say they were savage about the performance at Monash, both of them bleed hard for the Friars, so Reds had better expect a huge game next week - I will say right now Reds will be smashed and take their tankin asses to D grade, see you later!
