I wonder why neither GC nor Port preferred to deal with North. Their first pick next year should be a good one.

two days to go and houston still havent nominated a club. Maybe this is how the way future player movement is, really why do the player need to nominate? the public doesnt need to know, the clubs, player managers, player do the negoatiaions and then trade get annouced where the player goes.
I like a player who doesn't nominate a club. Gives his old club a chance to cut the best deal and also shows he's not a sook.two days to go and houston still havent nominated a club. I can't see how we get it done whilst maintaining a first in this year's draftEdmund might need to delete this tweet soon.
If Carlton commit to Houston’s management that they can get it done, he’ll declare Carlton his home. There’s been more than a few murmurs that he’s keen on the Blues.
Its a steep price, but I reckon he's worth it.I can't see how we get it done whilst maintaining a first in this year's draft
NopeCarlton back in for him.
Would be $1.10 favourites from here.
Oh I agree what Port is asking for is fairly reasonable. I just think the draft is our priority and so we will want to keep at least one first in this draft. Its a steep price, but I reckon he's worth it.
I'm happy the Pies are in with a shot on this bloke, but we may not have the capital to get it done.
Houston is certainly worth what we're reportedly offering and more.
You give them Pick 12.I can't see how we get it done whilst maintaining a first in this year's draft
We would offer that - I don't think Port accept itYou give them Pick 12.
Doesn't want to go to North, Melbourne or St Kilda according to Tom Morris.I can't see him going to Carlton or Collingwood. Needs to be more than just pick 13 and steak knives and don't see either club giving more up.
Worth too much to port to give him up cheaply or fairly. 12 more months at the club and gives more time to work out a trade and with still 3 years left on his contract similar trade offers be on the table
Should be plenty of brown paper bags left over for SDK and Harley ReidWalshistheGOAT another long term multi-million dollar signing for Carlton

Weitering signs for six
Jacob Weitering has re-committed to Carlton until the end of 2031.www.carltonfc.com.au
Salary cap bulging. Bring in both Houston and De Koning this year and next?

That's not what's happening here.Don’t trade a first rounder for an average small forward and you wouldn’t be here valuing Johnny noble as a first rounder LOL
That's not what's happening here.
Yep his preference is Carlton but he's going to end up at Coll.Rumours are starting the spread on our and the Carlton board.
How?Yep his preference is Carlton but he's going to end up at Coll.
How is he's preference Carlton, when he wants Collingwood if the move happens.Yep his preference is Carlton but he's going to end up at Coll.
Because Carlton won't pay the priceHow is he's preference Carlton, when he wants Collingwood if the move happens.
How?
If the Suns list manager doesn't take that North offer for 13 he should be fired before the trade period finishes.I suspect it starts with GC overpaying for Noble and ends with Port accepting unders for Houston.
Also probably involves Houston telling us he won't come here to stop us chasing 13.
The fact we haven’t taken it already means we probably are doing the dumbest deal alive for Noble. Atleast if it’s just 13 for Noble + F1 it’s bearable I guess. If the Suns list manager doesn't take that North offer for 13 he should be fired before the trade period finishes.
