'Character' in a stadium is good for when there is nothing happening at the stadium.
But honestly, who is at a game of footy or cricket for the 'character' of the stadium?
Plenty of the new Baseball Stadiums in America have bucket loads of character

Yeah that'd be Williamstown, which I'm fairly sure is the home ground of the Western Jets. Trevor Barker Beach Oval in Sandringham is similar although not quite backing out onto the beach like Willy does. If you ever get a chance to go there, North Port Oval in Port Melbourne is probably the best ground going around in the VFL, but Coburg City Oval is another personal favourite for sentimental reasons. My favourite ground to watch highlights from is played by the Under 18s in Melbourne.
I don't know the name of it but it has the ocean in the background. I just love it.

I watching Trading Places again the other day. This scene had me in stitches as much for the hilarity as the fact it could never be made in this day and age.

Alex Keath was delisted, didn't know he was still on a list.
I love this time of year.
I often wonder if people offended by these sort of things have ever been exposed to stand-up comedy cripes even 9/11 has been a punchline for umpteen years.
Would Rioli, Burgoyne, SPP, Finlayson etc be a chance to play in that? The AFL’s best Indigenous players are set to come together for an exhibition game against Fremantle in February.
After a 10-year hiatus the Indigenous All-Star concept is being revived with the match to take place at Optus Stadium in Perth. The AFL is set to release details around its return on Tuesday.

Pretty sure there was a video they used to play on the footy show all the time of a player kicking for goal and the ball getting blown back over his head.Looks nice but I'm sure it's windy as fcuk
It definitely was quite cold there, and funnily enough that’s part of why I am a Werribee fan in the VFL. I used to go with my dad when he worked for a paper in the western suburbs and we’d go to VFL games at Williamstown and Werribee, and later Footscray when they joined the league. This was back in my Collingwood supporting days, but I was and still am generally not a fan of AFL Reserves sides in the VFL and will actively support all the 7 standalones for the most part. Both sides were pretty good on field and it was always going to be one of them who I’d support, but it was mainly that I preferred the character Werribee’s ground had and the fact it wasn’t freezing most weeks which made the game day experience more enjoyable. That, as well as Ben Brown and Majak Daw being pretty handy players when Werribee were North’s reserves, made the choice pretty easier. Couldn’t have imagined that even now as a standalone club, I was able to see my beloved Tigers win a VFL flag. Genuinely never thought that would be in the realm of possibility but **** they’re a great side nowadays.Looks nice but I'm sure it's windy as fcuk
Add JHF to that list as well, we have so much Indigenous talent.Would Rioli, Burgoyne, SPP, Finlayson etc be a chance to play in that?

I'm guessing Sam Powell-Pepper would be in the same situation as Coleman, coming off an ACL the club says no.
Surprised Dan Houston wasn't pickedFinlayson as #1 ruck lol. This team has no chance!

Don't tell Kane but Fogarty has signed until end of 2031.

lol half a preseason at Geelong and he’s definitely no longer lighter than EvansI know fa about Lawson Humphries, debuted with Geel in R17 and played every game after that - shorter and lighter than Logan Evans.
(Logan is Indigenous isn't he?)
JHF surely doesn't playAdd JHF to that list as well, we have so much Indigenous talent.
