This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

The standard US policy to support Israel irrespective also transcends party lines. It's been going on for decades, and will likely continue for decades. I wouldn't lay it at the feet of any particular US leader, but it's quite clear Harris is at least uncomfortable with what's going on over there, if unwilling to do anything about it.

The only thing a Trump presidency would change in the ME is that Netanyahu will act with even greater impunity. It was Trump who moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem in the first place so it's probably best saving your crocodile tears for a different issue.

Agree, the US welfare system is poor. They need to move back to the left (their policies in the 50s and 60s would seem socialist by comparison to today) instead of plunging further and further right in to an Oligarchy.

Ridiculous? Most of the claims about Trump relate to shit he's actually said and done, whilst the pro-Trump or the 'just joking pro-Trump' cohort pretend he didn't really mean what he said, or what he did, or that it's all made up.

If you're making a claim about a law Biden signed then it should be pretty easy to dig up. All laws are documented.

If you're 'hiring' a candidate Harris is by a significant margin more qualified. She's worked her way up from the bottom. She's also not a convicted felon.

With the communist deputies banned and the SA intimidating all the remaining non-Nazi deputies, the Reichstag voted by the required two-thirds majority to give Hitler the right to make laws without the Reichstag's approval for four years.
Arguably this was the critical event during this period. It gave Hitler absolute power to make laws, which enabled him to destroy all opposition to his rule. This removed the Reichstag as a source of opposition.

Trade unions​

On 2 May 1933, trade unions were abolished and their leaders arrested. Abolishing the trade unions allowed Hitler to destroy a group that might have opposed him. It also gave Hitler the opportunity to set up the German Labour Front (Deutsche Arbeitsfront – DAF), which gave him control over German workers.

Political parties​

By 14 July 1933, Hitler had banned all political parties meaning the only party allowed to exist was the Nazi party. This made Germany a one-party state and destroyed democracy in the country. After this action, Germans could no longer get rid of Hitler in an election
