This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

The past four years have been chock full of fascist /totalitarian moves by the dems, finally culminating in funding and supporting genocide, I feel like there’s a lot of projection going on .

What are these other fascist/totalitarian things the dems have been doing rather than helping blow up the Middle East like every administration has been doing for over 40 years? (Not to be flippant but it’s true and it hasn’t changed regardless of who is in charge)

And no, Trump did tax cuts and de-regulation for the benefit of the already wealthy, and installed pro-corporate and religious ideologues to the judiciary. They were his big actions, both bad, though using his office to assist with Operation Warp-speed was commendable. Not that he can brag about that, since his anti-science followers, a phenomena he's helped cultivate, will get angry.

He then fraudulently tried to overturn legitimate election results via various means and thus should be considered unfit for office. If not legally, he's ideologically unfit to lead a democracy, not that MAGA types care about that small issue.

This is a simplistic claim (unsurprisingly) and factually incorrect. Both the claim that no new wars began anywhere in the world while he was President, and if it were true, then it also applies to a President as late as the 80s, Jimmy Carter (so short memory).

If we're using Russia vs Ukraine, and Israel vs Hamas, Palestine, Lebanon, Iran etc then Harris could lay claim to these being continuations or escalations of existing conflicts, so no new wars as well.
