An incredibly complex country. Him winning isn’t a total surprise, but the popular vote… wow.

Many factors, but it does seem like they are simply not willing to elect a female at this point in time and certainly a female from the “left” side of politics.

Will take some cataclysmic events (be it economical, societal, climate) to affect his base to get them to turn. Clearly January 6 was of no relevance to them.

It's going to be fascinating material for historians centuries from now on mass psychology and anthropology. Unlike previous civilizations it's all documented on a level not seen before, for them to see.

I have never seen a society cut it's nose off to spite it's own face as much as contemporary America.
