Trump has a real good shot at changing the 22nd ammendment of the constitution, which limits the presidential term to 2.
There are two ways of starting it
1) Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate
2) by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures
( all previous Amendments have been initiated by the congress)

Now that the republicans control the senate and the house, they only need to flip small portion of the democrats to initiate the process.

From there , long story short, a proposed amendment of the Constitution is sent to all 50 state legislatures. In order for it to pass, it has to be ratified by three-fourths of the States (38 of 50 States).

It is looking like Trump has claimed 30 out of the 50 states . It is not a stretch to believe that he will think he has the ability convince 8 other states to agree to an ammendment change.

I will not be surprised if his camp has already mapped it out.

I don't understand how Kamala could lose. How could people vote Trump when Kamala had so many celebrities endorse her? She basically had the entire Diddy party celebrity list endorese her, as well as all of mainsteam media and also outspent the republican campaign 3:1. How did this happen?
I thought when Jimmy Kimmel begged on TV for people to vote for Harris like his freedom depended on it, it was going to turn the election around for sure.

I just hope his freedom didnt depend on it....

Presidential terms are limited by the Constitution. An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress, or, if two-thirds of the States request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the State legislatures, or three-fourths of conventions called in each State for ratification.

If anyone tries to get around it, the armed forces step in.

In short, it ain't happening.

The claim is playing on fear, uncertainty, doubt, much like the hyperbole the he is Hitler incarnate, will start WW3, and he has ended democracy. Nobody outside left wing bubbles believe any of it.
I really hope everything turns out well and the institutions hold.

Probably not gonna word this well, but here goes. Once he’s back in office, if and i say if, he comes out with solid evidence to disprove many of the theories etc about him, or can prove say a weaponisation of the FBI against him (things he has said), how many here will be willing to accept it given they ate up fake documents like the Steele dossier for example? Would some of the avid Trump haters be able to change views on some things?

He’s been very vocal at changing the terms limit I wouldn’t be shocked like Putin he keeps changing them every four years …well if he lives that long but I think that’s the end game for republicans

Please... relax. Everything the media has told you for 8 years is wrong. Trump is not a fascist. He is not a despot. He will not be extending his term or removing term limits. Relax.

Im not particularly articulate, or have any insite…. But , Maybe the Dem should’ve spoken to the average punter rather than putting all their effort into celebrity endorsements, and dumping on trump. Think they greatly underestimated the hurt and pain they’ve gone thru over last 6 years.

Yes some of it was related to the COVID / trump hangover, but votes win elections.

Honestly **** Americans. They get the government they deserve.
Can't say that I disagree. Don't fully agree but finding it hard to argue against it.

You just reminded me.

Merrick Garland needs a slap upside his head.
