So Norf have the worst defence in the league this season by a long way and are the worst intercepting team.

Their attack is held up by being the most efficient team and accurate team but otherwise provide the least opportunities and have the least scoring shots.

I put Essendon in there because despite hoping they fail and losing stringer their 2nd top goal kicker, kako is gonna be an immediate impact for them in f50. I don’t know if they jump up the ladder but maintaining the status quo of being 7-13 is likely.

The improvement levels needed for norf to climb into that 8-12 range are massive. FOS probably helps at HFF but their defence isn’t going to be much better, maybe they get more chances inside 50 from the midfield. Bottom 4 is very much on the cards again, especially with the sold home games.

I wonder how much of that efficiency is because the ball is up the other end of the ground, so their f50 is just open for easy chances on counter

Quick look, they average 59 i50s against in 2024, we were 2nd worst at 57 and then GWS 3rd last at 54. Probably very viable without watching them to assume that’s likely a reason based on stats.
