Disclaimer:

You've all seen your team's logo enough to make your eyes glaze over. It's round 2 so who gives a tree huggin' hippie crap about form. If you played a "blinder" and feel disgruntled I haven't highlighted your achievement here's your moment...

...

...feel better? Great!

Therefore I'm making an executive decision to talk rubbish for your teams' sacred OP instead in, hopefully, a stream of consciousness tirade that would have Virginia Woolf (inappropriate joke redacted. I guess it won't actually be a stream of conscious) rolling in her grave.

Is it vain? Maybe. I think it's more in the vein
heh, homonym alert
of the Flanders' philosophy of "I've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas". Anyhow.

It's the year of my 18th. I'm alone and undertaking the mission of getting a borrowed DVD of "Let the Right One In" to Video Ezy without falling for the trappings of a junk food pitstop on the way.

WAIT, **** THAT, LUKA GOT TRADED
apologies for the OP becoming a OM (Opening Melt)

Let's talk about loss instead.

Hopefully loss is a foreign concept to you like free market economics is to the Dallas Mavericks. It's what happens when something inextricable that helped hold the foundations of whatever you identify as as a person
or cat or ex-Dallas Mavs fan or castrated vampire (had to sneak a Let the Right One In reference, well, in) or whatever no judgement here
... is in your life no longer. Whether it's an "I'm sorry kids" hug or an "I don't think I love you anymore" confession or a Shams Charania grenade there's a shared experience between these moments. Yes I'm comparing an NBA trade to losing a parent (no not dad for those itk) or SO. Because, in all three experiences, it creates a fissure in your space-time continuum where there's before and whatever you try to do with what's left of the pieces. The moment itself is both instantaneous and also something that's ruminated on thereafter no matter the techniques you've learnt to avoid this.
Btw if you were hoping for something poignant to be said sorry to crush this expectation in advance
The great, if you're a well adjusted individual, or sad if, like me, you're just trying to get by, part of human nature is our experiences become habitual, meaning you become just that little bit more conditioned to whatever circumstances you face. It's hard to overcome what you're accustomed to, speak to any long suffering Coney Island Warrior or Jimmy McNulty

for examples.

INTERMISSION while I grab another -196
if you thought this was unhinged, wait until the effects of a second kick in
In the meanwhile I enjoyed listening to this today, the Latino voice of a generation just put out another classic
poor Puerto Rico btw, they have it pretty rough if you're looking for a scapegoat to say "well at least I'm not..."
-

Damn these Jap vodkas remind me of eating
yes eating, I'm a freak who eats chewy
hubba bubba as an impressionable kid, just a whirlwind of strong, well intentioned flavour full of hope that disappears almost instantaneously. A Paris Commune if you will.

Anyway. Loss.

There's not much left to say actually
this is really a soft excuse to try cut this short so I can reply to so many of you I've delayed in fear of writing this OP/OM all week.
. I'm lucky to have a support network that's kept me from wallowing in these moments too long. Hopefully everyone else who's experienced this has it as it's pretty crucial. Eventually you push yourself to new horizons with the pertinent experiences to hold you in better stead for the future. At least these moments of loss confirm you do you care, you can put meaning into this existence and, if you've formed such relationships before, you can bloody well do it again.

But yeah loss sucks
Primary schools should teach a "Picking Sporting Teams" course that gives sage advice to such crucial decisions.
. Here's to 6 draws this week. And thanks for the memories Luka Magic.

Sorry for the tipsy ramble. Go out there this week and have a great time! Best wishes to everyone!

Captains, please submit your team sheets by 11.59pm AWST Thursday.

this is the worst match thread OP i've ever seen. Maybe ClarkeM has been right all along

I've always been curious about that stuff, but haven't tried it yet. Any good?
No idea.

Originally took the photo for the Freo board. (Brayshaw = Baeshaw).

It just sounds so wrong.

It's been a great exercise to ascertain who's not worth giving time to at least. Hopefully you feel the same way about me so let's put each other on ignore and blissfully forget the other exists. Ciao.
