lol its not even close. The GOAT is the reason we won a flag after we finished 17th the year before he was recruited. Kicked 3 goals from the half back with 40 possessions in his first season.
Goes ok i reckon
But we're being told that half back is a 'non important' position....

I guess it can become important if you can rack up 40 possessions with over 80% disposal efficiency, over 700 metres gained and snag 3 goals.

Hilarious all these Pies piling on just proving that they don't have the ability to even be a little bit objective about anything Carlton related.
i am very objective. I have said countless times Carlton has a better list. But list isn't everything when you have a coach who doesn't utilise his players talents properly.

Walsh and TDK should be in the top 10 players in the league if played properly and fully fit. You have a better Full back and 2 better big forwards, more depth in the centreline and yet you cannot beat us.

I had a quick look through the last handful of years. 20 Crippa match winning masterclasses. How many has Squibber had in his career?
We were doing the exercise.

Be transparent with it and share your second example.

Until you do that, it's simply baseless hyperbole.

We're currently at 2:1, though the examples used for Daicos were important games to his team's season, whilst the example used for Cripps was a dead rubber.

Yep it is very objective to say Carlton can't win games...

So 2 more disposals
1% more efficient
280 more metres gained
3 more tackles

Vs

1 more goal
7 more contested possessions
5 more score involvements
6 more clearances

Yeah... I know which I'm taking

OO and don't forget, 1 contested mark from Crippa!
you go ask 100 neutral supporters if they would rather have a 22 year old Cripps or a 22 year old Naicos and tell me how many would pick Cripps

Last time I looked there are 6 midfielders between the arcs at every CBB. Matters not if one mid is deemed to be betta than some other random mid - when in team sports it is the combination of all players that matters.

To put it mildly - I would take Carlton's midfield over Collingwood's in 2025, 2026 and 2027 however, since TDK is apparently now going to St Kilda ( LOLOLOLOL) or some other random Club in 2026 I reserve the right to change my view in 2026.
Let's compare the midfield in 2025:
Cripps = Daicos
De Koning > Cameron (Cameron durable, TDK not)
Walsh = De Goey (both have question marks over durability)
Cerra = Crisp (Crisp durable, Cerra not)
Smith < J. Daicos
Acres = Sidebottom
Hewett = Pendlebury
Docherty = Mitchell (both have question marks over durability)
Who are the next level for Carlton to match up against Lipinski and Perryman?

Both club have a batch of youngsters they'd be hoping to contribute, with Collingwood's players all a year or so older.

So IF Carlton get all their mids on the park for MOST of the year, they could match Collingwood.

If Carlton get a couple of injuries, it could get ugly.

I would rather have Merrett, is creative with the ball. Has a better win percentage than Cripps despite not winning finals, and infinitely less clangers
Lol. That's pretty delusional .
I think you're on your own on this one. No one's really backing you up here are they ?

More baseless hyperbole.

Can we get some detail for a second example?

Ideally not a dead rubber this time.
Hyperbole to say the player that won the Brownlow and won his club's BnF was very influential in a lot of his team's wins?

We clearly live in two very different realities.

You ask 100 neutrals whether Cripps is a match winner and every one of them is saying yes.
Where would Cripps rank in the list of 'match winners' across the AFL?

Because I have the following ahead of him, in no particular order:
Daicos
De Goey
Elliott
Gawn
Petracca
Neale
Hogan
Greene
Dangerfield
J. Cameron
Bontempelli
Heeney
Warner

13 off the top of my head, so probably circa top 20 when discussing 'matchwinners'?
