It’s all about hope.
I’d trade our cement ceiling under Hinkley for North’s boundless potential under Clarkson any day of the week.

We'll only have to wait until our opening game for that.wait till our first bad loss or first smashing and see how member satisfaction is
Propaganda needs to be confronted.this didn't need it's own thread, David says this every year, it is propaganda
The wittle club that could with an ounce of luck lolYep. And frankly, your average supporter just doesn't understand the game the same way people on this forum do. They don't understand that there are serious failings in the way we do things that will ensure we never win a premiership, they think it's just a matter of making finals enough times and then one day you'll get lucky and win it. Some of them also buy the 'little battler club that could never hope to compete' mentality and view us like the Socceroos at a World Cup. It does not in any way validate what the club is doing.
So any supporter not wanting to trade our current position with North Melbourne means they don't understand the game?Yep. I guess all those people who got free 3 game memberships were pretty satisfied.I listened to a bit of that grab where Koch mentioned that we fourth for satisfaction (I seem to remember that the number one number was engagement.
His response to the will you stay in seemed to be partly well it's up to the members .
Really David. .. How. What is the mechanism for change there?.
I guess by our constitution the members are the AFL sont technically correct. Mugsy here and the rest of those that pay our money can sit and spin satisfied or not.
How certain are you that we will win a flag before them?So any supporter not wanting to trade our current position with North Melbourne means they don't understand the game?
Yeah righto.
North haven't made a GF since 1999, haven't even made finals in 9 years. Have been in the bottom 2 for 5 years straight, winning on average only 3 games a year.
This record has not improved one bit since Clarko arrived. 6 wins and 40 losses last 2 years.
But apparently they are in an enviable position compared to us.
God there are some horrible takes on here at times.
I call bullshit! We are the 4th highest in the AFL according to Kochie on AA this morning.

tribeys comment was that he would trade our cement ceiling for north's boundless potential. And your response agreed with it and said the average supporter doesn't understand the game like people on this forum do.I never said that.
We’d probably be middle tier, our satisfaction levels or content levels are far higher out at the games than they are on here.
I'm completely unsatisfied with the coach and the overall lack of quality changes in the whole coaching department, and overall i'm frustrated with not having won a premiership in over 20 years. But there are some things we are doing pretty well in and a lot better than other clubs.Middle tier is generous, and it's well below what it would be if our supporter base was engaged.
Anyone who has been going regularly to games over the past 10+ years will see how flat the crowd is, and has been for years now. There's very little chanting, the crowd are expecting failure and they've been conditioned to do so. You can audibly hear the dissatisfaction when games start to go wrong.
Remember in 2014 when we were considered so raucous that they had that decibel meter to see if we could compete with the Seattle Seahawks (a stupid move by a stupid administration who didn't understand the differences in stadium accoustics, but still, a clear sign that we were loud). We're simply not a loud crowd week to week now.

Our list has a shit load of potential, i've been reasonably happy with our list management. Financially we are in a strong position. And we've got new facilities and a women's program that is now gathering momentum too.
Would i be more satisfied as a supporter of Adelaide, North, Essendon, St Kilda, Gold Coast? Absolutely not. Fremantle have a lot of potential but i don't see any reason why they should be more satisfied than us, ditto Carlton. West Coast have been absolutely awful for a while now, so i'd imagine their supporters wouldn't be that satisfied, but admittedly they have a flag from 7 years ago to hang their hats on to.
So yeah there is clearly at least 5-8 supporter bases that i think wouldn't have as many reasons to be satisfied as us so that puts us in the middle tier for mine.
Most of these teams are in full rebuild mode. I'll give you Carlton, they've underperformed, but generally you've listed clubs who are simply playing to the quality of their list.
Certainly none of them have a coach who is 7 years past his used by date. None of them have lost 5 of their last 6 finals by an average of 9 goals. Not sure any of the listed supporterbases have booed their own coach, apart from maybe Adelaide (who have a dumb, largely casual supporter base who overrate their list).
Even with the low bar you've set, we reach the bottom of the middle tier, only ahead of the loser clubs.
The idea that the supporter base is content with what is going on is just false. Only the most ardent happy clappers are going into this season with any sort of positivity. We're just treading water. Every single one of the clubs you listed have more to be hopeful about for 2025. For us, it's another wasted year before it's begun.
Who said I’m content.
Far from it, I’m hungry for success.
It’s just laughable reading shit like I’d rather be north, Essendon, saints, suns, crows, etc.
And suddenly you are a happy clapper if you think we’ve got more than those clubs. Some pretty long rebuilds, must be amazing.
