Swiss beer, best enjoyed whilst taking in the sights of the Swiss countryside when riding the Glacier Express from St. Moritz to Zermatt.

I've tried two Swiss beers now, and both seem to be a bit richer than your typical beer.

Edit: my camera work is absolutely terrible. That's a "Zermatt Matterhorn."

On the European theme I had 2 very good beers recently whilst over there, Eza beer which is from Greece and Kaiser which alot of people could be familiar with which is German. Both smooth tasty and perfect with a Greek pita. Looking around to see if they sell Eza here but only Greek beer that's prominent is Mythos which is nothing special.

EDIT: Not quite the worst...I once ordered a Two Bays Gluten free beer by mistake at Young and Jacksons...unspeakably revolting

Check out the GABS hottest 100 craft beer results from this year man, and give a few of the top 10 a try. Just avoid Larry.

Mountain Culture's Status Quo took out top spot and it's a great place to start.

For something a bit simpler, Pirate Life's South Coast Pale or Balter XPA are good gateway beers.

Before the thread gets totally derailed I will end by saying - please just look out for this logo on beers and support local Aussie brewers. They are absolutely doing it tough and I don't mind paying a bit extra to not support a multi-national. And the logo is almost Hawthorn colours - so we are somewhat back on topic!

Hawkers do incredible beers, and by supporting them you get to support the Hawks in an indirect way.
Their West Coast IPA (just ignore the existence of the Eagles for this scenario) might just change your life. And your evening, since it's 7.2%.

I agree, out with mates for a session nothing beats Carlton on tap. At home it’s usually a good pale ale or two

Thanks for the heads up on GABS Hottest 100, didn't know it was a thing. I'm a big fan of Kaiju Krush and seeing it come in at 28th means I'm doing myself a disservice if I don't go back and try the 27 before it now.
