Personally I don't see Welsh debuting this season unless we have a serious run of injuries with our forwards, would really need to light the Snaffle up big time to be considered.
I think he means play all of Tex, Curtin, TT and fog in the one game

Have to admit, I don't see an immediate spot for Bond in the side. But that kid is built like a tank, and looks super hard to play against.

If he gets a spot in the best 23, I'd not be surprised if he doesn't give it back.

Don't think we would want to play 4 taller players at once, so with rotations Curtin would need to be about 60 forward / 40 midfield when we play the other 3 talls.

When we rest Tex, look to play him all up forward.

Curtin and Rankine switch mid/forward?

I think Rankine is still best suited to playing small bursts in the middle. Which end up being 50 to 60 % game time mid.

Draper the long term permanent mid option with pace.

Apart from Crouch, all our midfielders can play elsewhere. I would hope we do horses for courses depending on how players & matxhups are going on the day.

But % something like this for inside mids.
75 Crouch, 25 bench
45 Dawson, 35 wing/elsewhere, 20 bench
45 Soligo, 35 wing/forward, 20 bench
45 Rankine, 35 forward, 20 bench
45 Peatling, 35 wing/forward, 20 bench
15 Curtin, 60 forward/wing, 25 bench
10 Rachele, 70 forward, 20 bench
10 ANB, 70 forward, 20 bench
10 Keays, 70 forward, 20 bench

I don’t disagree but we’re fighting history here. That would be very unadelaide like rotation.

I don't expect us to rotate all these players in the same game, but my thoughts are over many games we should be looking to use these players through the middle. Eg May only use Keays evey 3rd game though the middle. But we should be running deeper rotations in every game.

We should.

But will we?

We should.

But will we?
We will need to as we have 5 guys we want to have decent midfield time as opposed to the usual 4. This means we will get to use the likes of Dawson & Soligo also on the outside. Dawson should push back to half back when another team has run on or we need to hold up the game. Expect both to play on a wing at times as we are likely to go in with a rotational rather than fixed 3rd wingman.

With Taylor Walker likely to retire at the end of the year and our current replacements being Welsh, Burgess and Toby Murray I think it's almost essential he plays a handful of matches

Well, if it's essential that he plays you can put your bottom dollar on Nick's not playing him then.

He took a big step last year but I think Nankervis will have more people outside the club talking about him this year. I think he'll step up again. From Round 5 onwards anyway when Nicks remembers he's an A grader.

I'd love to see what Oscar Ryan can do too.

You forget Nix is an idiot.

I can assure you I don't :D

It's constantly in the back of my mind at this time of year when everyone is talking best 22's with such optimism. Much like Nicksy forgets every year that Nank can football, we seem to forget every year that he's terrible at picking our best side.
