Reads exactly like that. It’s not hard to piece that together.I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the player who was in the papers last Oct for being interviewed by police about an alleged sexual assault.
The player that was named in Oct 2024 as being questioned was Tanner Bruhn. A second man was questioned but it doesn't name him. It will be very disappointing for Cats fan if it involves a couple of our players. But whoever it is, if they have done it, then they deserve whats coming to them.
Sounds like it is either a Geelong player or a player who was drafted from Geelong and has family in Geelong.
If they are guilty, whoever they are, I hope they get a long prison sentence.
I imagine the player in question will continue playing. He’s been charged but not convicted and we still run on an innocent until proven guilty basis. This won’t be sorted out in the courts for a very long time.I'd assume if it's a current AFL player who plays seniors not VFL, then because he's been charged he wouldn't be playing in any immediate future games for their club including practice games. So games in coming days will be an interesting look, of course the club can use injury to the player in question as a cover-up, so let's wait a see.
There’s already precedence with Pickett.Yes. Let's have all the players up on rape charges just run around continue to play footy.
What a load of rot
Nah need to stand whoever it is down. Can't have fans cheering on a person with such serious charges playing on the playing field.
I mean, imagine if they were eventually found guilty in court, and before that they were still allowed to play despite the charges. Absolutely horrible look.I don't think anyone will disagree with that. This isn't a minor drug possession charge, this is a lot worse.

Of course if is found guilty then he deserves the full punishment of the law.
Speculation about names doesn't help any court case
The legal system in the state of Victoria is a mess
