I liked Berry and Richards. Jack whitlock snd moraes showed some nice signs. Walsh looked okay.

Sinn is a bust. Lorenz was disappointing. Atkins being at Port shows how much power player agents have.

Rozee doesn't remind me of a captain.

I agree that he's done, but if the options were 1) announce the succession plan now and have a definitive end date for Ken (end of 2025 season) or 2) no succession plan, enter 2025 much like 2023 whereby Ken could still get a contract extension, I'm picking option 1) every day of the week.

The best option of course would have been option 3) sack the bastard at the conclusion of the 2024 season, but the entire Club was too gutless to do that.

Koch has way too many runs on the board irrespective of keeping Ken on for too long. He will remain in his role until he actively chooses to move on.

I just realised too it’s all going to be about Ken this year, good or bad, they managed to put the whole focus on an individual who’s leaving.

Let's not allow the performance of the team onfield this year to distract us from being nice to Ken. Hopefully he will bask in the warmth of crowd support and change his mind.
"We have been in discussions with Ken all year," said president David Koch. "An encore season is an idea he's been tossing up, which, of course, is something we'd love to happen."

Wouldn't you love to be able to say to your boss:

"If you pay me about a million bucks I'll hang around for another year. I don't think we will do any more than we have for the past few years, but hey, everyone has given us money already so we just have to play things out. Are you cool with that?"

I just don't get why Visintini couldn't play full back, at least until BZT is available, I really don't get it, unless injuries are the issue.

Collingwood - Mason Cox - 211 cm
Richmond - Lynch - 199 cm
Essendon - Wright - 203 cm
St Kilda - King - 202cm
Hawthorn - Chol - 200 cm

The table below is sorted by height.
Will Bergman play on them?

Hell Taytay got the first goal yesterday because of a height and weight difference on Bergman.

One thing is for sure, we have assembled a team lacking any sort of respectable mental hard edge. It's full of increasingly unreliable squibs or noodle arm lightweights.

You don't get any level of aura from this pack of mollycoddled manchildren.

Teams play in the image of their coach so none of this is surprising. Things will be different once Carr takes over but it may take some time to see the results.

It was a scratch match.

People need to chill out.
Spot on. I went to have a look and stood behind the road end goal. We should have been level with the Crom at the end of period three but as usual missed at least five very gettable goals. Clearly goal kicking practice is not working. But all in all just a bloody scratch match with little intensity. That said, I think there were some things to like ie Berry, Lord and Richard’s.

I only watched the first 10 minutes, and then regular 3 or 4 minute segments for the rest of what was arguably always going to be a nothing game.

Kick and giggle trial or not though there were a number of major negatives for me.

1. Once again too many Port players looked like under sized schoolboys playing against men, which has been a problem for years now.

2. And probably connected to the above, in what I saw I lost count of Port players waiting until the oppo had control of the ball before attempting to apply a half hearted tackle, which was often un-effective.

3. Why T F was Boak allowed to continue for another year after his debacle against the Swans? The old Port Adelaide would have given him a tap on the shoulder and told him `thanks for your service, but your time is up!'
I will be happy to be wrong with this but if he is dropped to the Maggies, which has to be extremely likely I can envisage him pulling the pin mid season and potentially leaving the list one short.

4. Last but not least, he obviously had plenty of mates yesterday but unfortunately Josh Sinn still looks like being the bust of the millennium.

Didn’t see the game but makes me wonder after reading here how will we perform in round one at the G?
Given our recent history at the G vs Collingwood (42 point loss last year, 71 point loss in 2023) and if yesterday is anything to go by, id say a coach sacking worth performance is well and truely on the cards (not that anyone at the club is touch enough to actually sack Hinkley)

Because he’s got the lateral mobility and speed off the mark of a gum tree
