The stats are not good for teams who get belted in the GF. They rarely make finals the following year and if they do like Sydney in 2023, they don't win. I think only 1 team has had a final win the following year.

Add in a new coach, it's not that big of a stretch to think you will have a bit of a reset. Brisbane could be the same seeing what has happened to Geelong and Collingwood in the last two years, including their age profile and losing Big Joe.

Nothing wrong with Brisbane's age profile.

Zorko, Neale and Andrews have been extremely durable over the journey, and they have plenty of young talent coming through the ranks - Lohmann, the Ashcrofts, Morris, Coleman, Fletcher, etc.

If they don't contend again, age won't be the reason.

I can’t wait for this season - there’s a case for 14 teams. Swans too good to drop off very far I think so I’ve backed them in on past performance
