No one’s uptight and it’s not a big deal. It’s just not civilisedI just don’t see it as a big deal
Each to their own
People are so flipping uptight
. Footwear became popular many eons ago and is worn for a reason. Protection. But, if you want to subject your feet to whatever muck is on the ground - spit, food, mud, broken glass, whatever has been tramped in by many others, even in shops - fine, but train a bit of caution into your kids at least.

And no, I certainly wouldn’t say anything to anyone - on their own feet be it![]()
Exactly. No one in here is suggesting to be a "Karen" and complain or tell someone how to behave. I mean the thread is after all "Things in life you just dont understand".No one’s uptight and it’s not a big deal. It’s just not civilised. The only places I'd go barefoot is home, pool and beach.Wearing no shoes at shops is very bogan and not something that is for me. I judge people when I see it lol

Its probably more telling that people think that there is nothing wrong with this behaviour, its disgusting and dangerous.

Our street before it got updated in 2023, was last photographed in 2013, at one end of the street, that street was taken in 2016, the other street that we join up with was taken in 2020 and half way down that street was 2013I like to pick random places on Google Maps and have a look around on street view. What I don't understand is how you can be on one street and it is a recent update from in the last 2-3 years but go down a street the runs off the one you are on (or even sometimes it happens on the same street) and the image is from years ago. I was just randomly looking at a place and one street I was on the view was from May 2023 but when I went down a street running off that one the view was from June 2009. I would have thought the street view car would do all the streets in the area at the same time.
Someone's in a moodPlease enlighten me as to what is telling about my not giving a shit?
The only person it impacts is the person without the shoes
Ok Mrs Bucket
Did you hear my rolling eyes hitting the back of my head
Right? Where am I gonna find the time to tell young women to cover up at the beach if I'm busy getting shoes on shoppers.I can think of many better things to do with my time than tell some random in a supermarket to put some shoes on
or read the herald sun![]()
You make time for the important things in life. You've got time for that?
Luxury
How is it disgusting or dangerous? I have jumped out of many a car while on holiday on the coast and gone into a shop or shopping centre with no shoes on.Its probably more telling that people think that there is nothing wrong with this behaviour, its disgusting and dangerous.

A Perth man has taken to Reddit after having a negative experience going barefoot into a shopping centre in the area.
Sorry I simply just do not understand or comprehend how someone can go barefoot to the shopping centre.
Yes its a quintessential bogan act.

Agree. The ground is more filthy than people think or realize. It's just gross, I wouldn't even remotely consider doing it knowing how much broken glass is in my local area. I don't even like going barefoot outside my own house.
