The more complex you make a system by adding special exceptions like these academies or NGAs the more open it becomes to rorting and then the governing body (AFL) makes the rules even more complex to compensate and it just keeps getting worse and worse (in other words a right royal cluster ).

Exactly, Twomey is a little twerp. Simple fact that if Greeves has any amount of indigenous heritage, then he qualifies for NGA. Don’t see how the AFL argue.

The thing is that for the AFL to "screw" us, they'd have to make a change that would disadvantage the Northern clubs even more than us. I think that's unlikely. I'm not sure they can find a way for us to not take Greeves without a big uproar from other vic-based clubs about the favouritism for the northern.

Seems unlikely to me Kobe would choose another Victorian team over the hawks. Only reason I see cooper potentially choosing lions is that the family lives in Brisbane.
