Weirdly more confident that we'll put in a decent performance in round 1 after watching that.

Dominated territory, dictated ball movement and showed maturity (and the patience and skill to match) that I haven't seen in years.

There are too many factors at play that could've easily changed this result, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. But what I am bloody annoyed about, is the f***ing shoving of players into oncoming players.

I'd be fuming if I was a Richmond supporter with what happened to Lalor, and the same thing could've easily happened to FOS today. Umps need to get better at identifying and calling it out immediately otherwise we could see some serious injuries and I'll be damned if it happens to one of ours.

Did about 5 players who were previously considered to be at the bottom of our best 20-26 players just produce surprisingly solid performances? Yep.

Did we actually show the ability to change gears when its important? Yep.

Did we show up with a game plan that was likely to produce a winning score, and did we mostly fulfill it? Yep.

Were two of our best 10 players traded in for a second and fourth rounder respectively? Ahuh.

Did Powell continue to show every likelihood he's about to have a breakout yeah? Yup.

Did we have no injuries? Looks like it.

Yes our current mix of key defenders aren't going win us finals, yes it would have been nice for Bull to show up for a day's work, yes the late Bergman inclusion didn't help us, yes Kerch blazed away too often for someone of his talents, but if you ask me, the weight of evidence is that we're looking better poised to perform well this year than any other this decade.

The umpiring was ok in the first half. The second half was officiated to a completely different standard.

I think the West Coast player on the mark may have got a hand in and changed the trajectory of the bakk but that doesn't mitigate the fact that Larkey should have hit his target who was 20 metres in the clear and streaming towards goal.

He didn’t push back far enough off the mark. Lazy as Roo pointed out. If he could kick on his left foot it wouldn’t have mattered. He’s got plenty of mates though the amount of times we lose momentum by players stopping and handballing backwards when on their wrong side is shitful

Two shit senior players in Corr and McDonald near the bottom and worst of all they play in our back half and contribute to the constant leaking of goals.

Please get fit quickly Goater. We need McDonald gone.
