Did we show more than against the Dees? Yep.

Did about 5 players who were previously considered to be at the bottom of our best 20-26 players just produce surprisingly solid performances? Yep.

Did we actually show the ability to change gears when its important? Yep.

Did we show up with a game plan that was likely to produce a winning score, and did we mostly fulfill it? Yep.

Were two of our best 10 players traded in for a second and fourth rounder respectively? Ahuh.

Did Powell continue to show every likelihood he's about to have a breakout yeah? Yup.

Did we have no injuries? Looks like it.

Yes our current mix of key defenders aren't going win us finals, yes it would have been nice for Bull to show up for a day's work, yes the late Bergman inclusion didn't help us, yes Kerch blazed away too often for someone of his talents, but if you ask me, the weight of evidence is that we're looking better poised to perform well this year than any other this decade.

Today showed that it doesn’t matter how dominant we are ball in hand, if you’re going to bleed goals every time the oppo eventually get it forward you’re gonna lose.

You don't think if the were more accurate, we wouldn't be bagging the crap out of the defense?
If we kicked 15.9, supporters would be crowing?
Not saying that the back 6 were fautless but at leat it wasn't that dump kick, repeat entries, kick down the line, repeat entries that we've all become accustomed too?

Definitely more positives than negatives in the loss. We looked really good in patches. FOS looked great, Daniel was superb, Colby, sheezel and Powell were really good and Darling wound back the clock.

I actually thought McKercher was quite poor...gave a lot of handballs to his players under pressure when he himself had a bit more time.
FOS looks to be a lock for rd 1, played with poise and excellent being another outlet from defensive and big kudos to RHJ.

Can only hope this performance can be carried out into Rd 1...albeit better finishing.

There were David Rodan like arcs of running today.

This is a concern because David’s teammates didn’t know where the **** he was running to or who the **** he was going to flick the ball to under pressure.

Sometimes you just ask your teammates to be predictable

We limited them to 36 inside 50’s - we dominate games like that all year it will be a good year.

RHJ was good for sure, Colbys a kid in his second year. Im just stoked watching him get his hands on it and taking the game on. He takes a lot of risks and definitely makes some blues but he'll learn from every game, he has a great left peg just makes the odd bad decision. I've got no doubt he'll sort that out.

Guys I’m not fussed in the slightest that we lost what was after all a practice match. What people need to understand is that it was hot and windy out there. There were plenty of positives. Like how a number of our players excelled with their fantasy points. You can just see what they’re trying to do. So don’t stress too much about the continued poor entries inside 50. Getting done on the counter. Losing the clearances with our 7 potential AA midfielders. Those poor kicks that end up being goals to the opposition. Things are looking great. So what if The Eagles are just as bad as us. We were missing Simpkin and Parker FFS! And let’s not forget how one sided the umpiring was at half time. It cost us the match.

Today showed me that no matter how good we are offensively, it will not change our direction if we persist with the current defensive setup. If we lose offensively, welcome back blowouts.

Basic errors and allowing easy marks are just not acceptable. It's not like the Eagles had easy entries either. We deadset forced a rush long kick and our backline still couldn't handle it.

Gotta be better. It's simply not good enough. Forward line needs to he better too I mean ffs you have a ROLLS ROYCE MIDFIELD! LEAD AT THE BALL CARRIER!

Was at the game. The wind into the east pocket cant be understated. Don't understand why we chose to kick against it the last when we won the toss.

Overall enjoyed the game an atmosphere.
