I don't understand the over reaction, if its not safe they will call it off, if you are a supporter and need to know, surely you aren't relying on someone else to tell you whether you should travel or notYeah but ... the premier said in his noon press conference that they are supplying sporting clubs with the information so the clubs can make the decision.
They are protecting themselves from being sued by the afl and others.
So AD is playing chicken with the safety of players and fans. Supersized idiot.
First rule of a disaster zone - do not enter a zone that is under imminent threat of a natural disaster. Emergency services and general services will struggle to cope with the people who live there, they don't need people arriving.
Lets say for some miracle it changes complete path, everyone will say oh why didn't they wait....they have the time and they will call it off when necessary
I remember in 2009 there was a huge storm forecast to hit Mooloolaba Esplanade where I work on a Saturday night, the sunshine coast council forced business's to close and guess what, no storm, obviously this is different scenario but you get the point i'm making, not to mention last years disaster when the premier gave kids a day off school for a potential flood that turned out to be a slightly cloudy day
