But he's had an uninterrupted preseason! That means he MUST be good this year, right?
Right?

And laser LaurieIt's going to be a good year going around watching games get called while commentators get sucked into the biggest myths in football this year, thinking that Salem, Bowey and Billings are all elite kicks
I wouldn't mind trialling Bowey forward and put Lindsay in Bowey's role. It's going to be a good year going around watching games get called while commentators get sucked into the biggest myths in football this year, thinking that Salem, Bowey and Billings are all elite kicks

Agree. If nothing else his size might help draw some soft freesI wouldn't mind trialling Bowey forward and put Lindsay in Bowey's role.
Kynan time. Billings never again.
Reckon our small backmen cop it a bit though because so many of our back half players are terrible at ground level. May can't bend over (noticed on the weekend he was still kicking it off the deck instead of trying to pick it up), Lever is incredibly fumbly with ground balls, TMac has poor agility, Salem and Howes no good in ground ball one on ones, Bowey panics, McVee is sorely missed because it's an area where he's miles ahead of everyone else there. I would be giving Sestan a look in, decent at ground level, dropping Billings and moving Bowey forward personally.McVee and AMW injuries have thrown a spanner in the works. I can’t see them moving Bowey out of there but hopefully he can isolate on some one on one training. He just needs to also get that second of composure to hand off to someone instead of booting the shite out of it when under pressure. Not necessarily quick fixes but not sure who else can play the role.
No excuses then. Isn't Green out as well?Hogan (broken thumb) & Stringer (hamstring) ruled out for next 2 weeks
Hard pressed to find anyone on that list that does 7. Maybe Fritsch, when he feels like it.Needed to become a star:
1. kick straight
2. catch/mark
3. Never fumble
4. Always kick and handball to the teams advantage
options:
5. kick long
6. pack mark
7. know how to lead on the forward line. i.e. present as a target
List the Melbourne players that get 4 or more of the above
All you need is love…I also listened to a Gawn interview and I think someone mentioned it here already, all they've done is interchange last year's buzzwords for love. There's no real talk of needing to attack more or how we plan to do it. Just love each other and that'll fix everything
YepNo excuses then. Isn't Green out as well?
We’ve been there so I can handle it.It's going to be a good year going around watching games get called while commentators get sucked into the biggest myths in football this year, thinking that Salem, Bowey and Billings are all elite kicks
I think Oli and Tracca were our best by a long way. tis great to see Oli actually carrying the footy rather than simplyThose stats are for centre bounces where Melbourne were only up 15-11 for clearance. It was the other stoppages where Melbourne got the real clearance dominance and they don’t have centre square player limits of course.
The stats had Clarry and Trac at around 50% attendance and Viney still the highest at 70% (ignoring Gawn). I know Oliver and Trac started forward a bit. Anyone know if Viney was on the bench when he wasn’t in the centre bounce or was elsewhere on the field?
Put Salem, if he has to play... on a wing... playing Brashaw's old sweeper role dropping back to chop out our young backs, who I want to be attacking.McVee and AMW injuries have thrown a spanner in the works. I can’t see them moving Bowey out of there but hopefully he can isolate on some one on one training. He just needs to also get that second of composure to hand off to someone instead of booting the shite out of it when under pressure. Lever is a poor player as it is, apart from his directions. But his mindset it to slow everything down.Lever is incredibly fumbly with ground balls,
I know we don't always agree, but this i agree on. We've swung so many tall defenders through the forward line, maybe at least try the smalls and see if they can bring some pressureI wouldn't mind trialling Bowey forward and put Lindsay in Bowey's role.
A random viewer probably assume he was a random 25 year old role player type.Actually really liked Adam's game, would be great if he can force himself in front of TMac as first man in should we get an injury to May/Lever/Petty.
Also take Turner out of the forwardline FFS
He's the biggest pants shitter since Daryll Cullinan against Warnie. Why stop now, let's get him to worst in the AFL then dump him.
Haha, Goody's next evolution as coach!I know we don't always agree, but this i agree on. We've swung so many tall defenders through the forward line, maybe at least try the smalls and see if they can bring some pressure
