Hey guys so we have the option to apply round 1 scores to players that have the bye in R2, 3 and 4. Do ppl want to do this or just keep it as it's been in the past and let teams fight it out with a few donuts?
I don't think we should change things given people have built their squads around previous rules
AgreeOpening Round* scores.
Deeman means opening round scores. Which has only been around for two seasons including this one and then hopefully never again. As this is dynasty I doubt many people have built around this fixture. What it means is all your player play an equal amount of games. The AFL introducing opening round messes with list building a heap more than anything.
At the moment, Sydney, Hawks, GWS and Pies players play one less game if we don’t apply their scores from this weekends games to their bye.
It does however mean if Chad Warner has a stinker whoever has him could choose not to play him but that is the only advantage that you know scores ahead of time. But technically we also know their bye score ahead of time which is donuts.
Ohhh so were only talking about the 4 teams that play this week? That seems like a no brainer?Agree

When you put it like that, it does make a lot of sense.Opening Round* scores.

PerfectMy whole draft strategy was based on Gee and Bris having a bye in round 3. Completely blown up my season.

I personally think it needs to be tweaked a bit. I didn’t realise we were doing this.
I’d say if that’s the case then you’d have to put day in the mid emergency and have to field a donut to take the score. Just like any ordinary loophole. I don’t think people should get a free hit in placing him in the starting position and have the luxury to not field someone who played crap. Massive leg up if there’s a random rookie who has a random blinder in the next game.
So in conclusion I think it should be treated as the first game of the round. You have to bench them. Then find a way to get the score. If you have 3 mids then bad luck. You’d have to pick one for mid bench and one for utility bench.
Realistically also, all byes should be treated the same. And we have never done it on the multi bye rounds. In fact we didn’t do it last season either. I’m surprised we have actually just made a big change like that.
Another thing to consider is what happens if will day gets injured before the bye? His massive stats potentially wins a matchup? Hmmm
Everyone misses them though. That's just the nature of what byes are. The AFL controls the fixture, not us.I think it’s pretty shit if you miss a round of scores due to round zero ect
Should the fixture year in year really affect our league? The AFL fixture is more equal than ours as everyone plays the same number of games. And I say all this as a Will Day owner. I don't think it should count for round 3. ItIt's st the luck of the draw, and thats the cards dealt.
We've had compromised seasons in thr past (hello 2020). I don't see a year where anything is straightforward.Should the fixture year in year really affect our league? The AFL fixture is more equal than ours as everyone plays the same number of games.
And I know the games played are the same but the available players are not.
