Bear in mind he doesn't turn 21 until May, so he's far from the finished product.
- 19 touches at 73%
- 3 clearances
- 7 contested possessions
- 4 inside 50s
- 5 score involvements
There was a lot to like
Unlike some other young mids at the pies… Allan looks like he’ll make the grade
Hopefully by round 2 it will have Jordy. Will make a huge difference.Bear in mind he doesn't turn 21 until May, so he's far from the finished product.
I'd be making our starting mids Nick, Harry and Ed.
Just leave them there and rotate others when they need a break - Crisp, McCreery, Schultz, etc.
I'd give Bobby a run too, just to get him into the play more.
Pendles and Sidey are just too slow, as we saw yesterday, unless it's later in the game.

Absolutely, but to start off, he might spend a chunk of time forward, so he could be one of the rotations.Hopefully by round 2 it will have Jordy. Will make a huge difference.![]()
I assume he got the rising star nom?
Doesn't matter, gruzewski would have won it anywayDid this happen last year?
Did this happen last year?
Given he's 20 years old and playing his 3rd game, I thought he played well.Thought he was okay without giving any real indication of high level performance for the future. Hopefully he continues to develop and develop but is a slow burn currently.
GWS were pretty manic, but he managed to turn on the jets and get space a few times - it was a good sign, albeit not having the composure to balance before kicking even though he'd found enough space to do so.Thought he was okay without giving any real indication of high level performance for the future. Funny you mention that. I was looking at his draft profile yesterday.GWS were pretty manic, but he managed to turn on the jets and get space a few times - it was a good sign, albeit not having the composure to balance before kicking even though he'd found enough space to do so.

He's built his strength, and the composure will come with more experience, which is why we have to get games into him.Funny you mention that. I was looking at his draft profile yesterday.

Still looks to have a fair way to go on the strength front. Ideally, he has the smarts to play wing or high half forward this year and looking to move into the centre square in the future. He's built his strength, and the composure will come with more experience, which is why we have to get games into him.
As I said, he's far from the finished product at 20 years old.Still looks to have a fair way to go on the strength front. Ideally, he has the smarts to play wing or high half forward this year and looking to move into the centre square in the future.
I don't think he'll even need to be a beast - his running is going to be a serious weapon, once he gets the patterns right and learns how to use it.As I said, he's far from the finished product at 20 years old.
When he's 23, he'll be a beast.
We'll pick the best team, but think he'll get a fair few games.Just need to give him a huge block of games this year whatever happens
