After last season he shouldn't have been nominated. I didn't read all the noms this week but would have objected to Richards immediately.

Chadwiko I haven't read all of this spat but, even though I like a lot of your posting, try to be the bigger person here and back the truck up. ferball doesn't need me to go in bat for him, but I've found that he's one of the better people on here in terms of being able to have a reasonable discussion without getting into ad hominems - slight contrast with the person he was responding to, whose time is divided between sooking and baiting other posters. I have made myself a rule here (which I mostly keep) that I won't have a go at other posters, but fmd it's hard sometimes.

Caracas, re: your Q in the autopsy thread, I assume some of the negative posters regurgitate the same material because they think that balanced or optimistic posters don't understand and need to be educated. Not to speak for others, but I get it. I just choose not to sook and get the distinction between being optimistic and "accepting mediocrity". And if I want to be educated, I'll read Rick's analysis. Reading the match day thread, I was annoyed by the number of people calling the players soft and sooking that the season is a write off before quarter time in R1. (I could be conflating people. I'm not going to reread it - once is bad enough.) Those people must have a fine sense of irony. Season's not over. We're still a mathematical chance of the Premiership / WilPhil Brownlow double.

I was thinking of posting something similar but I'm somewhat reluctant to criticise umpires as a rule. But your point is fair, those old boys in yellow aren't always infallible. Luckily their errors didn't have any impact on the scoreboard.
