Don't know why people pay money to watch motorsport, you may as well stand on the side of a freeway and watch it for free.
At least with a freeway you might get the excitement of seeing the cops pulling someone over for driving too fast or too drunk.

99% of the people that go to the Melbourne Cup don’t give af about horse racing. They’re just there for the social event……… and also to get drunk af.And yet, several times a year the same Australians who complain about motorsport go and watch a group of horses run around a track.
