SA look like they are really relying on Sir Garfield Manenti turning up for this match otherwise his selection over Pope looks a very negative move to try to lengthen the batting lineup.

Hence why I think they should’ve gone the better bowling option, leg spinners can make things happen late in the game even on flat tracks, with this being 5 days I would’ve been more leaning towards Pope.
Reality is, if we make enough runs in our first innings then what happens on D5 doesnt matter.
It’s still a very negative way to approach the match, wouldn’t surprise me if Manenti was picked on the proviso SA were always going to bowl first and they thought QLD were always going to bat first.
