Titans played Mordialloc on Saturday, both sides won fairly comfortably. Is Mordi a decent side this year? Wondering what the measuring stick is for praccy matches like this

Mordialloc have dropped down from Div 1 but were putrid last year 0 wins and terrible %. Having said that they have enticed a few of their old boys back to play Div 2…however still think they would be bottom 2-3 in that grade. Berwick Springs should win D3 they would be more than competitive in D2….however we never know. They will still face some stiff competition in D3 from Skye, Heatherton, Sth Mornington and St Kilda City.

Praccy matches really don’t give much. Most teams would have anywhere between 5-10 senior players unavailable. I reckon they will be a thing of the past in the next couple of years. No grounds available. Players unavailable either playing cricket or trying to get their last holidays in or work before the season proper. Season creep with cricket finals getting rained out.

Think they win too. Was quietly hoping to see an ex AFL player named, but knew the source was too good to be true

How good to have local footy back. A lot of unknowns. Will probably need 3-4 weeks of games before we get any sort of indication on what the season has install for us.

Tip:

Clubs with a colts side to feature strongly come finals!
