Am I in the minority thinking Docherty played alright for us tonight? Sure his first few weeks have been below par but thought tonight was a step in the right direction for him. Looked a bit more like the 22-23 version of Doch.
Had plenty of disposals, but butchered most of them. Also didn't like the way he shirked an issue when it was his time to go. Not tne Doc of old IMO.

Yeah. When he wanted bolts / Teague sacked. I watched him v giants that game.... stood in the middle of the ground shouting at a runner and at bolts. Ignoring a live game going on around him. Had like 14 that day. Club said he was injured.....

I believe the first one was the Bolton game.

He did similar with Teague against Essendon when I can't remember the spud's name completely shut him down on debut (he's already been delisted) and he spent all that time screaming at Teague

33 and starting to think I’m not meant to see this club be successful. I feel so emotionally disconnected from the results and footy right now. It’s just pure disappointment and acceptance of how poor we are. A handful can hold their head high but a lot clocked off at HT. Who the hell knows what to expect against WCE on neutral territory, if they bring pressure and heat I think they actually are a hot chance. We’re a mess

Interesting i missed it. What nuggets were there ?
I think it's worth a watch, I got the sense from him that he's not prepared to be fully scapegoated.
Some of the comments around selection and the philosophy behind it.
I felt like there was some suggestive comments about the playing group.
Ultimately though, I'm sure it's just my desperation looking for something that's not there.
It also felt confused between intimations of Voss gesturing towards areas of conflict, while also trying to hold space for hope

Was painfully obvious we were way too tall in defence.

Has been so far this year and two of them keep getting outplayed, out skilled and out wanted

Sick and tired of Haynes and McGovern's errors being at the level of a first or second year player without the positive learning outcomes.

Yeah you're not winning a premiership with a brain fade like McGovern in defence.

Costs us ever week.

Did you see how many times we fumbled, couldn’t take their ball in their hands on the ground, missed targets by hand & foot, dropped marks…… etc etc
When it's everyone in the team.... It's coaching.... It's the coaches job to bring the best out of players. You do that by improving consistency, frameworks and fundamentals. Then confidence and cohesion. Then a real nuanced game plan and layers on your structures.

Voss is ignoring fundamentals, not providing a proper structure the rot seeps in and it's contagious. It's literally just a representation of what happens at training and the atmosphere and standards at the club. Which are directly controllable by the coach.

When it's 9 players playing great and 3 stinking it up you say oh okay it's not so much coaching it's those 3 are kinda not able to fit this system and you trade or move them on. When it's 9 players who've played in a prelim playing bad and 2 playing well..... It's a reflection of the club itself. Not the list.

The whole point of being shit for so long was that there would come a time where the team would be decent for half a decade.

Now that has been taken away and the salary cap is full with terrible contracts, cooked players, a few elite players in their prime, a playing list otherwise filled with slow unskilled plodders.

Walsh is an injury prone B-grader being battered on the inside weekly.

The coaching is horrific. There is no motivation/drive in the playing group. The president sends phallus pics.

It is a tragedy and football is actually pointless.

Yeah. He's a legend but when he's had enough he let's the coach know...

I got the games backwards.

But yep.

The * player I believe was Dylan Clarke.

The AFL's longest ****ing rebuild, as other teams rebuild in two years and start challenging immediately, and it has resulted in two finals appearances, and we are heading to the bottom again with no draft picks this year and compromised drafts to come. We will win a few more wooden spoons.

We need to trade out anything valuable and draft again with a decent recruiters. Do a 2024 Richmond.

Our players have lost a heap of value. If we get anywhere near a top 10 draft pick for Walsh, we'd be lucky. If we can get a top 10 for Harry or Charlie at their ages, why not?

The Saints offer will net us a top 5 pick for TDK, if we finish bottom 4.

Hit the 2025 draft, bottom again 2026, then Tassie will clean up in 2027.

It is our last chance to go again.

Cripps copped a big knock last week & was playing sore

He busts his arse for this club
He has plenty of credits in the bank, he's the last player people should be having a go at after one or two below par games.

I like TDK generally, but ain't no ****ing way he should be paid 1.7m.

He got touched up by the Pies version of Pitto
He should be kept if the coin is right or moved on. We have to stop stacking our list with high paid players and have a team 1st mentality
