Yep on face value that back 6 looks too tall to me. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out.
Someone might go forward...

Pres - on a similar note, should I take 3 wood out of the bag on Sunday and replace with an extra wedge to provide bounce options so I can adopt Mayo-like VSP with confidence?
All depends on the conditions of course WC.

Regardless if your vertical AoA is on point bounce should not be an issue to get the "small ball - big ball" interaction desired :thumbsu:

Maybe Konstanty on Wicks, who's reinventing himself as a defender.
Parkers reaction time is not as quick as Blakey and while it would be nice if he could play on him l think it wouldn't work. He would have been my first choice but will rotate through the midfield at times. Kostanty will always be forward..

Just because someone is tall doesn’t mean they cannot play small.

Logue played small r1
Corr played small most weeks at GWS and at times for North
Comben played small last week on Keays
Whitlock has played small in North Intra game and as the 4th defender at VFL level in a intercept/ half back role.

Replacing FOS and likely Tucker…. Neither were exactly small defenders who thrived at ground ball level.

Would imagine we go 3 key defenders on Amartey, McLean and Resting ruckman, Lmac on Hayward and then Whitlock as the interceptor playing small.

No guarantee it works, however with Papley out and Sydney not having a mosquito fleet I don’t see the harm in trying it as our backline isn’t exactly set.

A little disappointing we’re struggling to develop these decent draft pick half backs instead grabbing elite mids and slotting them back there.

I would have preferred Hardeman named anyway. I guess half back and small forwards is just not our jam

This is shaping up as a super interesting match with our changes. Has anyone worked out the changes in teams compared to the last time we met?

If we click I reckon this might be a seminal moment in our journey as a club.

North convincingly so at least 5 goals otherwise it’s back to the salt mines 😎

I’m getting pre-Bulldogs game vibes from the confidence in this thread. You guys remember we’re playing the minor premiers?

We’ve got a good opportunity and we’re definitely a chance if we turn up on the night.
Yep. A Grand Finalist, albeit missing some players, is well skilled and a great transition team who is coming off a bye.
We're a good chance to win, but we'd want to put scoreboard pressure on early as they'll likely have the run late.

Logue is a better match up for Curnow on Good Friday, so best to get him some games the next two weeks imo.
Pink didn't do much wrong, but he's struggled against the best key forwards.

Check out post 162 on page 7.

This is a massive massive game for our football club

Definitely a massive game in our eyes. But if we were to win by 5 goals Kane Cornes would just say "North have beaten the injury depleted Swans. Proves nothing" ;)

And those of us who never pay attention to Kane wouldn't know and wouldn't care
I do listen to SEN often. On the way to and from work and on the weekend. Hard to get away from him
